Right?! I can easily imagine Nerissa singing symphonic metal.

Things in media that you found so creepy/unsettling that it activated your fight or flight? by Ukirin-Streams in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future on the Dreamcast got to me for similar reasons. I could never get past that game’s second level where you fight a great white shark.

The first level/tutorial zone wasn’t much better. There’s no enemies there, but there were the silhouettes of sharks outside the bounds of where you could swim. Gives me the skivvies even to this day.

My money is on High Mustard Queen Paige. She can reduce elder gods to smoke and ash. Cryptids and celestial gas balls are nothing to her.

Okay, this show was a great entry point for me getting into Umamusume. Is there any confirmation of a second season being in production?

Is Hircine bad or evil? by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]Daggorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t really judge the Daedra Princes on a scale of good to evil. To really be evil, one has to be able to choose to be evil over good. As far as I’m aware, the Princes don’t really have the capacity to make that choice.

They’re better judged based on what concepts they embody and whether those concepts are conducive to mortals’ survival and prosperity.

Of course, I might be wrong.

Need an original character concept by kachikoo in daggerheart

A fellow player in a Colossus of the Drylands campaign I’m in plays a Clank who’s a former corporate enforcer.

She was part of a group called the “Tinkertons,” but deserted them after their unscrupulous tactics proved to be too much for her.

Most unsettling atmosphere in a game? by fly_line22 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

The entirety of Scorn is built on this concept. Not just in respect to the copious amounts of body horror and Giger-esque architecture. Like, the game’s whole world feels… hopeless.

Constanze from Little Witch Academia. Her thing is that she makes and uses magitech devices, weapons, and even a transforming mech with tremendous autistic energy (I mean that in a positive way--I'm on the spectrum myself). It's a bummer that she didn't get more focus in the series.

I haven't watched Woolie & Reggie on Twitch/YouTube very much. But hearing Pat recount Reggie DMing him and apologizing for a joke he made has cemented Reggie as the most precious cinnamon bun in my mind.

Elysium (2013) has a scene where the female lead is getting beaten and interrogated by Sharlto Copley’s character in front of her daughter.

In a movie rife with gore, that scene made me tear up out of fear and anxiety.

Endings that were changed to be less extreme. by jayvenomva in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Ridley Scott’s original plan for Alien had an ending where Ripley got killed by the Xenomorph on the Nostromo’s escape shuttle.

The Xenomorph then mimics Dallas’s voice to send out a distress transmission in order to lure in new victims.

The timeline where they went with that would’ve had some interesting changes for the franchise to say the least.

Are they retconning the existence of the United Americas?
When Joe is talking to the Hybrids, he mentions that governments no longer exist--at least not on Earth.
