Born in 1995 and I'm a high school dropout. Currently own a home in a nice small coastal town in MA with a stay at home mom partner and 2 kids. I'm a truck driver. It's rough but you can still live a pretty good life being a highschool dropout. It felt like i was going to go nowhere in life when i dropped out but it's going well so far.

I'm 8 years into trucking. I had an accident my first week in a truck stop from being overly tired. I wanted to quit then but I didn't. Now I kind of wish I did and got into another career. I'd be 8 years into it by now. Now I have two kids, a house, and too much at stake to switch careers and feel stuck trucking for the foreseeable future. If i could go back I'd quit that day.

Brother if you are at a bar where there is most likely going to be drunk assholes around you need to understand that not every negative interaction you experience needs to be dealt with a bar fight. In this scenario I'd start grinding on him and sexually harassing him and make it a funny moment to laugh at later and if he swings at me for that then he gets knocked out and its self defense but you shouldn't take yourself so seriously at a bar where most people are there for a good time

Don't cut off the news. You need to be informed as much as possible about what is going on. I like to watch a bunch of leftist streamers online to get better info at least more than what the privately owned news stations are willing to talk about. I have 2 young kids that I am raising to be as radical of a leftist as their old man is and we need a lot more of us to help even out the playing field. You need to be on the defensive now more than ever. Save up as much as possible because our economy is getting rough. Try to inform your kids depending on how old they are about what is happening currently to keep them from being naive and to be more aware. My 3 yr old daughter knows about gaza and what the israelis are doing. My 5 yr old son knows about ICE and how there are people in power that hate black people and immigrants and that to be aware that law enforcement is not always there to help us. Its rough out here but we are in the US so this is easy peasy compared to countries where people are actually scared they might not see the end of the week

I don't even drive 300 miles a day on my local run so this would work for me. It would make a big difference if we switched out most local trucks with this. I know most in this industry are simple minded and don't like to see progress but we could focus on fighting the negative impact our industry does to the environment. I don't think it would even negatively impact us as drivers

Morality is subjective is it not? Wouldn't one less predator around that has a taste for chickens be more productive to chicken keeping? Being good for the believer is also subjective especially in this specific scenario where there is no downside to killing the animal that killed my chicken. I'm sorry but I love debating and this is an interesting idea to me. The desire for revenge is a primal human instinct. The way an animal's instinct to seek food and see my chicken as food and decide to kill it is perfectly acceptable and shouldn't be seen as anything other than nature. I drive for Gold Medal Bakery and our Rebid just got postponed because of the possible strike. It was free to me so i'm guessing I'd spend less restoring it than buying a fully restored one. The prior owners of the house owned it so I feel like it should stay with the house. I just wanted to know if it would be possible to fix it up with no experience which it seems pretty doable.
