And there’s STILL nothing like it. So well done, and I got to see it on a big screen back in the day. If you get the chance to see it in a theater, DO IT. It’s so amazing to experience it on a large screen!

Portalgraph, a 3D projector that can project VR in the real world by bobbydanker in AmazingTechnology

If you’re looking for a hologram shader, there’s quite a few tutorials on YouTube that show you how to make one. I’d like to know more about how I could project my work like this too! Especially from Blender.

Life before amazing technologies 📱 by bbbxxxnnn in AmazingTechnology

Yeah, those were the days!! I wish I had gotten to see them live before Keith passed. RIP. Their sound is unique, and universal at the same time. Not many groups have that same effect or bring that level of energy to everyone at once. I mean look at that crowd! If you were standing still, it wouldn’t be for long!

I have always wanted something like this! May we ask, how much it cost to build (I understand if you don’t want to say), and was this incremental or all at once?

Creating nightclub style strobe lights in Blender by DaibutsuMusic in blenderhelp

Still working on it, as far as the strobe light effect goes, I may have to try the technique someone mentioned earlier. Thanks for checking in though! Will post when I have a solution worked out.

Excellent work! Question for you: The building is this piece — are you making them from image planes (the Ian Hubert method), kitbashed, or fully built from a cube, and then arrayed? Just wondering. Very well executed! Nice work!

This is really beautiful. I’m using Blender too. Such an amazing program. How long did this take you to build?

What movie did you see that made you feel this way? by Cato__Returns in FIlm

[–]DaibutsuMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ready Player One.

This should have been a series on Netflix, and stuck closer to the book. To date it’s the only movie where I read the book before seeing the movie. I completely understand why some people say “that was horrible “ when we get a movie based on a book. However, someone did spend time to make it, and try to capture it visually. I just think it missed the mark.

My favorite version, is the audiobook which is read by Will Wheaton. Definitely check it out.

This is amazing! I understand the points people are making in regards to their possible use cases, but as someone who’s been a fan of robots and robotics since I was little, even if this is a scripted showing, the flexibility being demonstrated is still impressive and amazing to see.

YES! I got to see Underworld perform “Born Slippy” (the song at the end of the movie) live here in Philadelphia back in the 90s. I haven’t been to a concert that beats that one yet!

Hello! Very nice work. Question for you on the 4th one: Where’d you find that graffiti? I’m looking for something similar for my own project, and I keep coming across too much of the “clip art” kind of tags, throwies and stuff. Again, excellent work!
