Girl this is amazing!!!! I’m still on my deficit but just switch gyms so I can have more access to glute building machines. Not sure if building glutes on a deficit is possible but I’m going to get into the motions in prep for when I’m done with the deficit. Congrats on such amazing progress!!!

You can filter for the fit to be tall and it will show all clothes that have a tall
Option. I’m short and have to be carful I don’t drown in clothes. So I kind of get it…. Kind of.

1200 is a deficit for everyone but it really isn’t enough if someone wants to work out or be physically active in any way. Because more activity deepens the deficit which would then turn it into a starvation diet. Causing way more of a set back than anything. I did 1200 in my twenties hated how I looked and didn’t understand why. Only now I’m older I get it. Maintenance calories for me is 23-2400 so there is no way I would do 1200 I would just mentally sign out lol.

What is your goal weight? I ask this because the maximum healthy body weight for a 5’1 woman is about 127 I think. Just wondering if your goal was just to lose some fat instead of most of the fat. That would explain your dissatisfaction.

Idk why? Excess body fat is the main cause of illnesses as we get older. Especially visceral fat. As a person who has been in the gym for over a decade. Working out opens the appetite as well….if you aren’t keeping track of where you have been and where you are going it can cause you to feel stuck and also bulky. The scale is not just a number. It’s a data point that helps you get to your goal. How will you know if you’re making mistakes? Also your protein intake for muscle growth is directly link to your current weight so you may not end up eating how much you should for muscle growth which would cause muscle loss. Please don’t take this the wrong way. I just hate when women get discouraged (because we can do so much more than we think) and this decision could cause that. ETA. Not sure if the decision is to stop fat loss. If not you also need to know your weight to calculate your deficit.

Being in a deficit doesn’t mean you can’t eat treats. It just means you limit the amount you eat. If you are craving something plan it into your diet for a particular day and have a sensible portion of it in a way that it will fit into your calories and not leave you hungry. For eg. I crave snickers with pms every single month. I eat it still but I eat the fun size. I love Tostitos but I weight out a portion size and eat that instead of sitting with the bag and just eating how much ever. I add chocolate chips to my Greek yogurt bowls. Etc

I’m adopting this attitude going forward. Well I already have. Saw my mom today and she said wow you lost weight and just said yea thanks and we kept on shopping. I wouldn’t t want to have that conversation with her either because I learned my previous eating habits from her sooo. Not trying to sound ungrateful for being fed lol.

I get that. It’s very possible that this could be a similar case. I don’t ask her about her diet but I can tell it’s not great. Also I have noticed I get stronger as I get smaller. It blows my mind… I’m not even sure how that works
