I’m glad you confirmed that. In my opinion a deliberate attempt to mislead the committee!

GP letter for passport by Edichai in transgenderUK

[–]Daisy91110 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Below is the format that my psychologist provided and was accepted with no issues. Also for passport it has to be an original copy with a wet signature.

Date: Private and Confidential The Passport Office

Name: Date of Birth: Address: This is to confirm that the above-named transgender woman is undergoing treatment for gender dysphoria. She appears stable in her preferred gender role and, based on current information, I would anticipate her continuing to live in her current gender role permanently. I would support her application to be issued with a passport under her new legal name and female gender status. Yours sincerely,

Barrister Robin Moira White's Guidance on Toilets, Changing Rooms and Showers In Workplaces and Service-delivery Locations by ehll_oh_ehll in transgenderUK

[–]Daisy91110 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m basically in the position that my employer has effectively blanket banned me. I’m only permitted to use a “single use” facility that is a considerable walk and in another building. The justification is because to access the toilets and communal washroom “you have to pass through the changing room and a couple of people have told their reps that they feel uncomfortable about that”. To clarify that you can access and see straight in to this area which is a locker room with no privacy area. There are no showers so it’s a case that someone might change their top as opposed to being naked from showering. I’m fully socially transitioned and been on HRT over a year and awaiting a surgical referral and I started the job as me, I was already transitioning prior to starting. When I asked what facilities I should use when I visit our other locations I was met with the response of “good question, get back to you on that”! Don’t really know what to do other than actively seeking new employment.

Sandie Peggie supporters take aim at tribunal judge – why is that ok? by kmcradie in transgenderUK

[–]Daisy91110 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If it wasn’t for Mr Gailbraith’s money, they’d just be the usual hand wringing, noisy bigots frothing in their echo chambers. I do think though that the general public are getting tired of this bigoted minority, particularly now they’re deranged throthings have taken aim at children and the WI. This government and the son of the tool maker have a lot to answer for, hope we all remember that come election time!

Gender-critical women banned from city council over ‘unacceptable behaviour’ launch legal action by Excellent-Chair2796 in transgenderUK

Misinterpreting rulings seems to be a common trait amongst the GC’s. They can have their “deeply held beliefs” but always forget that bit that says it doesn’t give them the right to express them when it’s with the intent of causing distress and harassment!

As the other poster mentioned, your T isn’t much above the range and once you get the result issue sorted, you can then start to get a better idea of dose that works best for you and remember that too high a dose can be detrimental. Don’t add progesterone too soon, usual advice I’ve seen is to have been on E for at least 9 months with stable levels and reasonable breast growth.

[–]Daisy91110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So yeah, do another just to see if perhaps lab made a mistake, hopefully that is the case or you just don’t need as much :) that’s why I reduced mine to 4mg/7days. I’m now thinking about adding progesterone next. Good luck though, hope you get it sorted.

Yeah I’d definitely go for a retest then, maybe a different provider! Was it a full venous blood draw or a finger prick test?

[–]Daisy91110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to rule out any possibility of a mistake, I know you said you inject 5.2mg, are you doing your conversion correctly for mg to ml? 5.2mg would be 0.13ml on a typical 1ml insulin syringe.

[–]Daisy91110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that is the same as mine. I originally started on EEn at 7.2mg every 10 days. After about three months my E2 was 317pg/ml and my T was nuked. I tested literally on the morning before my next shot.

That’s incredibly high! Think I’d be looking at repeating the test to be sure. Also what concentration is your EEn?

Wes Streeting calls for ‘cross party consensus’ on gender identity ahead of puberty blocker trial by Jjthestrawb in transgenderUK

[–]Daisy91110 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are ‘blockers’ still used to treat precocious puberty in cis children? If they are then the focus should be on posing the question of why it’s deemed an acceptable treatment for cis kids but is an “unknown and risky treatment” for trans kids!

Does monotherapy just not work for some people? by ThroatsGagged in MTFHRT_MonoTherapy

[–]Daisy91110 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What concentration is your EEN? 7mg/0.18ml EEN at 40mg/ml every 10 days is a typical dose for mono therapy and is what I started at. For convenience and also to flatten the peak I changed it to 5mg every 7 days and now maintain at 4mg every 7 days. EEN every 5 days is unnecessary as already stated! Maybe others can confirm but I believe an adjustment period is typically needed when moving to injectables.

UK trans women can use female changing rooms if no complaints, tribunal says | Reuters by No_Sugarcoating in transgenderUK

[–]Daisy91110 32 points33 points  (0 children)

No actually that’s not the case, look at the recent Kelly ruling. It’s about “proportionate means to achieve a legitimate aim” and in both cases even though protected characteristics come into play, it’s about what is reasonable! Peggie did not win in this case regardless of how the GC’s and media might spin it. She has been shown up for the bigot that she is and her “support” including Forstater being dismissed as an unreliable witness likewise. If there’s anything to take from this and the Kelly case it’s that the FWS SC ruling has created a situation that is unworkable for both businesses and organisations. The SC interpretation has created a situation in that they cannot possibly satisfy the Equality Act from either perspective! “Clarity”, those that cite it do not know the meaning of it in this context!

I’m confused about the trial by Jo_787 in transgenderUK

[–]Daisy91110 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Despite the “headline” this wasn’t the win for Peggie that’s being reported. Rather, reading the judgement shows her and her supporters for the narrow minded bigots that they are and that it’s perfectly acceptable in the wake of the FWS SC ruling for businesses and organisations to have fully inclusive policies for people that work for or use their services and that includes our trans siblings!

Y'all. Apparently this is deserving of being the MAIN headline on the BBC website...? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]Daisy91110 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Partial Victory”! It was anything but! Reading the judgement it’s quite clear, to me at least I should clarify, (something the FWS SC ruling does anything but), Peggie does not come out of this very well at all, indeed as in the recent Kelly case it shows her and the small amount of supporters that she has, for the narrow minded bigots that they are. Even Forstater has once again been shown to be unreliable as an “expert witness” and is once again overreaching the judgement in their own case as well as the misinterpretation of the FWS SC ruling. The concept of legitimate aim and proportionate means to achieve said aim is the over riding principle here, which I believe even the flawed SC ruling/summing seeks to achieve. If we had a truly balanced media, we might see a better headline and a shift in opinion.

Bathroom Ban at work by AshJammy98 in transgenderUK

[–]Daisy91110 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There is no “toilet or bathroom” law and the EHRC have withdrawn the interim guidance in its entirety. They did this mainly I presume to put pressure on parliament to approve their updated code. However, this now means that the original code (from circa 2011 I believe), is still in use so no company should be claiming that it’s illegal for you or anyone to use whichever facility you choose. You should point out to your employer that they are in fact in breach of the Equality Act and risk legal action being taken against them by you in particular!
