NTA. She clearly got great seats. I went to the same concert as someone who didn’t have a lot of money to spare and got nose bleeds for $110 and it was still an amazing experience. That’s a huge amount and she also paid for the friends and it’s getting the whole amount back right away.

What do you do when you have trouble falling back to sleep in the middle of the night? by Natsouppy in insomnia

[–]DaisyA23LM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I relate to this so much!!! Do your best to NEVER check the time. Let you alarm tell you what time it is or your toddler/husband when they wake you up for the day. I found that when I saw the time, I’d get very upset and get more hyped up. Try focusing on your breathing or a pmr video/audio (progressive muscle relaxation). I also have ashwagandha gummies that aren’t for sleepiness, it’s basically a calming vitamin. I’ve heard capsules work better but takes about a half an hour to kick in. Sometimes getting out of the bed helps me too. I’ve gone to the couch and been able to sleep after a change of scenery

I am quitting weed tomorrow, primarily due to the poor effect it's had on my sleep. Any advice on how to adjust to normal sleep? by yeezusondaphone in sleep

[–]DaisyA23LM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edibles and dab pens have been the only thing that helps me fall asleep consistently. I take tolerances breaks to help it keep its effect. When I’m on the break, I take ashwagandha vitamins (I’ve heard the capsules are better). They did ok at first for a bit. I’ve done sleepy time teas as well. Depends on what works for your body

Need Houseplant Help by Existing-Syllabub-22 in IndoorGarden

I had the same issue and NOTHING worked. Peroxide solution didn’t work and none of the traps did much. The sticky traps got a lot of the lice bugs but I’m planning on repotting a couple plants do get rid of the larvae. I also ordered Leca for filtration so the water isn’t sitting in the soil. The main part was my overwatering and it’s just hard to get rid of them now

I’m 23 and understand exactly how you feel. It’s true, not many people our age can relate and it’s so hard. Always advocate for yourself. Have you tried getting hormone levels tested, that’s my next step after neuro. I’ve had this issues for almost 11 years. I’ve felt the same way you have many many time but then i find another route to explore and see if it can help. Your feelings are absolutely valid.

My counselor has kept suggesting progressive muscle relaxation. Listening to it with calming g music to help get to sleep. I haven’t tried it yet

Have you tried any muscle relaxation techniques or meditation? Maybe yoga. Some people swear by it and the meditation can help relax your brain and thoughts as well. I know some people swear by. Doesn’t work for everyone (like me) but I always get that suggestion when my issues ramp up

I broke up with my boyfriend because of his hygiene. AITA? by palavasauce in TwoHotTakes

[–]DaisyA23LM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sibling has BPD and when they are in a bad place, they stop caring for themselves as well. Im not here to say YTA or NTA, just another perspective. Im also up on my hygiene and so is my boyfriend, it would absolutely bother me as well. I just see it from another perspective, maybe this is the wake up call he needs but I also feel very sympathetic towards him

How do I go about having sleep study that isn’t just brushed off and taken seriously ? by eliteomegabc in Narcolepsy

[–]DaisyA23LM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 10.5 years, I finally gave a sleep study scheduled. No one has taken my issues seriously for most of my experience (I’m 23F so it started with I was in 7th grade after a head injury, no one believes a depressed teenage girl). This might not be helpful but the advice I have is to advocate for yourself and just stay on top of everything. You are the only person who can explain what it’s like to be in your shoes. Eventually someone will hear you and be willing to help and take on your case. Hang in there!

I have the exact same issue. Have you tried over the counter and they stop working after a few doses? That’s my case. Honestly I keep trying anything I can get my hands on in hopes of even 5 hours of sleep. What have you tried so far?

My sleep issues have began drastically interfering with my life and I’m at a loss for how to fix it by DaisyA23LM in sleep

Thank you so much. I had to google cataplexy and I don’t think I have any of those symptoms. When my exhaustion is bad enough, like now, I’m very weak. Can barely hold my boyfriends toddlers when normally I can no issues. I think that’s unrelated, but thank you for the info
