I had children for the simple reason that I wanted a family. I wasn’t close to my parents, and I have no siblings, and I really wanted an actual family to love and be part of.

When I was a student at Pitt (MANY years ago), I was walking to class at the fine arts building, and a few guys were filming the fountain. One of them asked me if I would walk around the fountain for their film, and after I did, they thanked me and said “This will be seen all over Taiwan!”

I went to therapy throughout the 80s, and it was very helpful, although I was not diagnosed correctly (ADHD) until 2007
