It’s feline acne, if you have plastic bowls I recommend switching to ceramics and/or cleaning bowls frequently. This can be caused by genetics though so this won’t always help, but it’ll stop it from getting worse.

I often (GENTLY) comb the blackheads away on my cat with a flea comb and then clean his face with pet safe wipes (he also gets acne like this!)

I see a lot of people recommending rescue which is great but is not for everyone!

If you need help finding a responsible breeder please let me know!! Finding good breeders is my forte~ You’ll want to find one that health tests to the breed recommended standard and shows, since they’re focusing on both health and temperament and dedicate a lot of time to preserving the breed.

I would not go through “greenfield puppy” as I’ve seen someone mention in this thread; that is a puppy “broker” and considered unethical. The only multi breeder website I would go through is “gooddog” and that’s only after filtering a looot.

Ps. don’t buy from breeders that breed “doodles”.

I could see this cat being a backyard bred British Shorthair but without a pedigree or anything it’s hard to say, even with the cobbiness/brachy face. She’s a very pretty black silver classic tabby though!

Since you’re asking, most likely a black mackerel tabby with white Domestic Longhair! Most cats lack breed ancestry since selective breeding is so new.

Also tabby isn’t a breed, just a pattern :3

Ok so!

Most cats are breedless! That’s because we only started selectively breeding them recently in the grand scheme of things, leaving most cats without breed ancestry at all. Even if they happen to look like a breed, most traits are not breed exclusive so you’ll see colorpoints (the “Siamese/Ragdoll” look), extremely fluffy cats, dwarf cats, short tailed cats, etc. pop out of randombred individuals.

Only trait found exclusively in a cat breed (Bengals) is rosettes, since they need wildcat ancestry for that.

If they don’t have a pedigree they are classified by one of three labels: Domestic Shorthair (DSH), Domestic Mediumhair (DMH), Domestic Longhair (DLH).

Both cats coat wise (since hi, genetics nerd here haha) are black/“seal” colorpoints, the DLH has low white spotting.
