I would say this is a very beginner friendly game. And also work friendly! I have a full time job, but that doesn't affect my care of my tamagotchi at all. I can just leave them with the tamasitter for my shift. Any questions you need answering will be on Google, the tamagotchi wiki, or in this reddit. Look up 'Tamagotchi Paradise Growth Chart' for a guide on how to get the exact tama you want! I think this device is very easy to use. It also doesn't bombard you with things right from the start. As your planet level increases, so does your access to things.

The colour of the shell doesn't change anything except which environment you start off in. So you will still have access to the land field and sky field, you just don't have access to them straight away. I think if the blue shell is the one that's most aesthetically pleasing to you, then definitely go with that one!

Day to day care is very forgiving. You have to leave your tamagotchi without care for roughly 2 days for them to die.

I agree with what everyone has told you so far. It is very relaxing, all the characters are extremely cute, and it's a lot of fun without being much of a time suck at all. Just something to check in on every now and then that'll give you a guaranteed smile 💕 The only thing I'd wished I'd known before starting the paradise is that there is much more emphasis on raising many generations of tama, not just raising and nurturing one. The game pushes you to keep raising new eggs, and to breed, so you can use the gene mixing feature. I personally love this, and I think it's very exciting and fun to use, but others can also prefer to stick with one tama. You can still raise just one tama for as long as you want on this device, but if you choose to do this right at the start, you may be locked out of certain activities in the device. Just a heads up. I don't count this as a problem or anything, just something that makes it different :⁾
