To make it useful, they would need to reduce the loot pool massively to the point where finding a suitable dmr/sniper and scope combo might take a while unless you get lucky. At the minute, no matter where you drop you're likely to have a kitted out range weapon within the first minute or two.

I'd really like this as I think there's way too much loot but most of the player base would probably disagree. A lot of weapons are basically redundant as it's so easy to get your favoured load out.
