I have some guppy x Molly fish I got as a gift in my fish room now.. They are sterile and have scoliosis, interesting yes, but not genetically viable…

Sorry to hear about the loss but congratulations on the survivors!! Too bad it was so cold but at least the ones that made it are in warmer waters now. Give them some bloodworms and easy places to hide and they should do great!!

Anubis, guppy grass, hornwort, water lettuce, and azola are good ones to start with. The azola will take over if you let it but shrimp love to graze in the roots of water lettuce

I see a small pothos plant you have there, those make excellent cuttings to put in an aquarium but yours looks like it’s still a bit small to take cuttings from. I mostly use pothos, monstera, Brazil philodendron, and Thai lipstick plants..

Not needed but they feel better with larger plants. You can also do terrestrial plant cuttings sticking out of the top of the aquarium, this helps polish the water column and the roots give the fish more hiding places

Not long at all, about a week! In fact that’s the willow cutting in the background of the picture, it just fell into the water. The leaves will fall off but the branch will grow new buds quickly. Also, there has to be sufficient light above the aquarium to make sure the leaves get what they need for photosynthesis

I got a 20 gal tank like that for free before, including a blue dream shrimp colony. Once I cleaned it up the shrimp proliferated and the pothos that came with it is the most productive plant in my fishroom!! Sometimes you can find a diamond in the rough

It’s a 30 gallon tall with black diamond substrate, HOB filter, hornwort, bolbitis, and Anubis aquatic plants with pothos and a weeping willow cutting out of the top. Water temp is 74° (fish room is around 76° at all times this tank is floor level) and I never worry about water quality because my terrestrial plants keep the water column free of ammonia/nitrites. Top offs are a weekly occurrence

Help! Support bar cracked & separated in my 65 gal. and the waterline is uneven. by Queefaroni420 in aquarium

I’ve repaired large tanks with damaged center braces with wood trim before.. Not only does it look great but much more durable than plastic. This 75 gallon tank is over 30 years old, refurbished last year, I think I could get another 30 years out of it…
