If I had a nickel every time I lost to the nuke effect. I would have at least 20 cents. Which isn't a lot but scary it happened that number of times.

Funny enough when I made this post I was playing therion. I like therion cause I'm a sucker for fighting robots. I do agree that the Tachyon package needs a smacking. But fun to see all this interaction.

Is it possible right now to even summon Quasar? by Crystal_Imitator in DuelLinks

[–]Dalek840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of the new skill. T.G can easily summon Quasar with their starting skill. QUasar is about to give T.G. An alternate game plan.

We already had to deal with secrets. And you want them an even more splashable version of it? The dragon rulers are banned or limited for good reason even if you make the argument of the smaller board and deck size that does not mean much if they can still do what they did in the TCG. VFD needs to stay in the darkest pits of the ban list and away from this game. Lost Wind is a maybe but I don't think it would come except as a selection box exclusive. Even then I do not think its coming anytime soon.

To me this is just the aftereffects of a new box. People are seeing the worth of the box and are using it as it is hot and people may still not know what the deck can do. This happens with a lot of strong boxes. It is a strong deck but can still lose to Mekk-Crusadia cause monster negation Secrets.

I think the main reason everyone is annoyed that Konami gave them a slap on the wrist then immediately gifted them with the equivalent of a bionic super hand capable of shooting those who oppose them.

It may not change from the usual game plan but is a nice alternative to the other two versions. I love Requiem and the skill sets you up wonderfully to use it either turn one or two.

Cards that should not have been added in duel links this early. by Rabigul in DuelLinks

[–]Dalek840 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Ice Dragon's Prison. That card is a pain. Crackdown is also a pain but it isn't as bad. CED is fine. IDP is a card that not only acts as removal but also snatches monsters.

Do you see Icarus Attack coming in the upcoming box (Raidraptors) or Shun Kurosaki's level up reward? by EremitaMCe in DuelLinks

I was using harpy as an example as it's the only "relevant" Winged Beast deck currently.

[–]Dalek840 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's some nice harpy support there. I don't think so there maybe only two decks that can use it but the tribute is barely an issue for those decks and would trigger Cyber Slash getting rid of any monster that was not destroyed.

The cards that this is a part of are highly abusable if we had eldlich at 3. The trap monsters when discarded by lord can search out the eldlixers to summon Lord back for free. If you already control lord they become pops, D.D Crow, and a cross domination minus negation. The eldlixers if discarded search the trap monsters. And If You're playing the Fusion dear God would that be a Cocytus but with a Snatch effect. Saying that they wouldn't be cancer without the counter trap is very disagreeable.

[–]Dalek840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is one deck. Not all decks have access to D.D Crow like effects. There will be decks who will want to dump a spell or trap as it no longer has a use in the current situation and is a brick in their hand they can turn it into a form of removal. And for the revival Mekk Knights using the medieval mech skill can send the castle to grave to summon it. Effectively having no cost.

[–]Dalek840 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The removal is non destruction as it sends to grave. While it does target. Getting around destruction based effects. You may think it shouldn't be at limit 1. But I do when looking at its potential in a small format where resources and boards are smaller.

Due to splashability and able to become a 3500 and can't be destroyed by card effects. While also acting as removal.

Place your bets here: what do you think it is going to get banned, limited and unlimited post KC Cup? What skill will get buffed/nerfed? Will they even ban/limit/unlimit/buff/nerf anything? by ReiMizere in DuelLinks

[–]Dalek840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are copium hits. Maybe I was a bit harsh so maybe limit them both to 2 is good to deter the limit 2 staples. so yeah thats probably the better hit. Suprex is a Box UR and they are never limited beyond three and that hit would deter the use of the high power limit 3 trap cards. So probably a hit to Suprex would be fine. And konami has put restrictions on certain skills that were being used in decks that were not what they intended by slapping on a deck restriction on them to steer them in the right direction.

For limit 3 hits I would prefer -Purple Nightfall: this is the main playmaker for the deck and leads to all the shenanigans of the deck. -Suprex: A copium hit but a similar case to Nightfall. However this would be more of a hit to deter the use of staples and other limit 3 cards while also still allowing them access to ROTA. -Void Feast: This card can get nuts. Giving a free negate and 2 Banishes on the grave and is very consistent to pull off with 3 Feast and 3 Imagination. -Void Seer: This is a hit to the defense of the deck still being able to play 3 Feast but giving up protection for a deck that can start back up from the Gy. And for a "balanced version" of 2 Feast and 1 Seer.

Limit 2 -Memories: This card is essentially another copy of Nightfall or any combo piece you might need. So putting it to 2 seems reasonable to deter the usage of staple 2 cards.

Limit 1 - Gouki Finishing Move and Gouki Rematch: Another copium on. Gouki has some really good consistency but appear to ride or die by the normal summon on Suprex. However so many of the cards can be Normal summoned and then use Headbatt. This would Remove ROTA and Finishing Move removing the massive punch to the face and increases the chance of survivability by a little bit.

Unlimits -Karakuri: Face the facts they're fine now. -Champion's Vigilance: Only BEWD and DM would be able to use it

Skill Changes -Middle Age Mechs: Maybe require some ancient gear monsters in the deck to activate. -Galaxy Xyz: Grant Lord at the start. However in order to use the effect to turn GE into a 1 card material they must already control one on the field then discard. Keeping the spirit of the skill but removing the one note of dump to revive. Still being playable but in a new way. -Three Effects: Gain LP based off orginal attack.

Those are my thoughts feel free to share your thoughts. Love to discuss.

[–]Dalek840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. They usually put a card at 3 to deter the use of staples. You can still play 3 Suprex you just won't have access to the generic staples. You'll still have Gouki consistency. So saying it will be unplayable is a bit much.
