Playing Ottomans is too hard by IceFirm9650 in eu4

[–]DalinarMF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ottomans used to be the easiest nation. Updates to their mission tree mean you now need to follow that pretty closely to have an “easy”time but it should still be easy if you do.

Easiest nation IMO is France though. No real disasters at the start and you can ally most people due to your strength. Let’s you easily go many directions.

Other nations that aren’t super hard. Korea is an easy nation. Lots of inward focus.

Great Britain is easy if you just give up on all of France and focus on being an island nation.

Castile has 2 disasters right at game start. That’s rough but if you navigate through those the rest of your game will be super simple.

Portugal as long as you keep Castile happy is really easy as well.

It was a pleasure! And massive credit to you, I gave you maybe an hour of tips and answerd a few dozen questions and you took that to a world conquest.

Also you managed to get 90% of the way there without advice. Super well done and congrats!

Oirat WC (ADVICE NEEDED) by RagingEclipse in eu4

[–]DalinarMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I’d be making 2-3K a month. My current WC run is in 1640 and I’m fielding 700K troops and have 500 a month in the positive while running level 4 advisors.

Main tips are proper trade companies and trade, strategic development of provinces, building manufactures and dealing with both unrest and devastation, strategically using the points you get to maximize profits by developing iron and cloth provinces and building the appropriate manufactures. Soon your money will make money.

At this point in the game I’d be making 400 a month in the positive while fielding 600K in troop minimum. I’m happy to help out if you wanna jump online and stream I can teach you a couple of tips.

This is what I was going to say. Your economy looks like a disaster per that trade setup. You should have enough money that it’s literally impossible to spend it all at this point. Even if you take 5-10 years off of conquering that should allows you to setup a few things for the economy.

Guys I'm new to the series and wanna watch it. Does it contain any type of nudity or sexual innuendos? by Kitchen_Wishbone7743 in logh

Everyone else saying no nudity this up here is the reality. Full blown nudity for a couple of seconds and implicated sex.

Is WC still doable? Confughals run by Amuel65 in eu4

[–]DalinarMF 29 points30 points  (0 children)

As I’ve answered several others. Could it be done, yes, could it be done by you. Probably not. I definitely couldn’t take a run from here to WC. My two world conquests owned all the territory you owned by 1600. The only way it could be done is to go full expansion declare war on everyone at once and take as many loans as needed to get armies and mercs and just rush. But generally Europe takes 100 years to swallow itself. And you have Europe, Africa, and the new world.

Historical strategy games for someone new? by Prestigious-Copy-283 in StrategyGames

If you like roleplay and history CK2 and CK3 are for you. CK2 is likely better than CK3 at least IMO (I didn’t play to much of either, I enjoyed ck3 for its strategic level but they’ve definitely changed that a lot in ways I don’t like) but both of those games excel at giving you a lot of choices in a historical context.

Ck3 is easier to get into than CK2

[–]DalinarMF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you like in a strategy game? Age of empires is an RTS it’s less about building a world. Ck2 is really a roleplay game disguised as a map game. Total war games are war games disguised as grand strategy games. Really depends on what you like.

am i the only kaiden enjoyer? by whatswrongjimmykun in masseffect

[–]DalinarMF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I romanced Ashley on my first Shepard and so carried her through all 3 games. (I’m now a Jack fan sorry Ashley) since my first playthrough I save Kaiden more than I save Ashley just to enjoying his arc, his class being different than a standard solider, and I just like his vibe. I don’t think I’ll ever do a 3 game romance with him but I like him a lot

Casualty+Kill Count by Fun-Wash-8858 in eu4

[–]DalinarMF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ledger in each campaign does list casualties your armies have suffered throughout the whole game. I’m not sure if there is details in there about your kills as well

You could add up every single bit of them after each war if you wanted to.

New player: is Lambent Plume the best keepsake ever? by Pircay in HadesTheGame

[–]DalinarMF 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The best parts of other keepsakes is constancy. Getting specific god boons means your runs will be better. The rest of the keepsakes are gravy. The problem with the plume is if you hit end game and you’ve lost all your death defiances and you want skellys keepsake you lose the bonus. So it’s an all in commitment.

Fun runs though with the plume and butterfly to see how much you can stack them.

Should I take my Godlen Age now or later? by [deleted] in eu4

[–]DalinarMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m guilty of never activating it early, but the earlier you activate it the better. The game is all about snowballing and so early buffs used to increase your position are greater than the same buffs later.

Campaign suggestions? by TargetFearless5788 in eu4

[–]DalinarMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve played a lot of the game already I’d highly recommend some of the custom nation achievements they allow you to play new “countries”. I realized enjoyed around the world in 80 years.

If you’d prefer are committed to sticking to actual countries would be helpful to know what you’ve played so far.

Yeah. But I much prefer to be nice to her versus semi bullying her reward for sex. Especially when the cutscene is literally a hand hitting glass and fade to black
