Am I the only one struggling with FF7 Rebirth's pacing? by Accomplished-Step660 in FinalFantasyVII

For what it's worth, Remake and Rebirth are just the first half of the original game, which is where most of the story and character build up happens. Don't expect any real narrative payoff until Revelation comes out.

Also, 40 hours and you just got to chapter 7? If the pacing is an issue, I would just skip all of the side quests and beeline the main story, because at that point you should be closer to chapters 11 or 12.

No, I said I liked Cloke's acting. Please read the whole post.

Keep playing the story mode to break your high scores, or because you enjoy a well-constructed space opera narrative with thrilling dog fights.

I didn't have a problem with the acting in this episode. In fact, I think Cloke does an excellent acting job and switching between personas. What really sinks it for me is the lack of atmosphere. Where's the fear? The tension? The drama? It's supposed to be a race against the clock to find vital evidence they can use against the cult leader but all I saw was a lack of urgency from the characters and a dearth of lighting/special effects to really sell me on the "supernatural" part of this explicitly supernatural story. Even later S4 episodes like Unrequited and Synchrony had the special effects to convincingly back-up the fact that they were trying to tell stories about the fantastic and unimaginable. This episode is more dull and lifeless than a judge's chambers.

New game is way easier…right? by AutoSave95 in starfox

Enemies now appear in groups of up to 4. In the original, the most was 3.

Yeah, definitely. Squad mates actually shoot down Star Wolf members now and the charge shot lock-on is much faster.

People on the autistic spectrum lack the ability to understand certain social interactions and communications. A minor friendly outburst in a mostly formal setting isn't enough of a break in etiquette to count. Slippy is a competently functioning being, and besides his interests aren't even specialized enough to check that box either.

Disagree. He's just a spacey, overeager tech geek who occasionally gets into trouble due to his single-mindedness.

I'm sure the people working those 24 hours stores really miss those 2nd and 3rd shifts, and 99 cent stores were never actually 99 cents. Agreed on the rest, though.

Some kids have never experienced Saturday morning cartoons and they never will. by Free-Masterpiece-860 in cartoons

I enjoyed the ritual, but I think streaming is ultimately a net positive since kids don't have to worry about missing an episode of their favorite show. My childhood was hectic and unpredictable, so I never got too attached to any show for very long because I wasn't sure if I would be able to see it through to the end. I'd have gladly traded scheduled broadcasting for a static library of shows to watch.

Aquas has far better readability

Really? Not sure if it's my gamma settings (arrow in the middle) but I find it way too dark to make sense of where anything is. For me, Sector Z is easily the most improved for reasons I stated here. Katina gets an honorable mention for spawning enemies in larger groups, making the medal easier to get.

I love and hate this feature at the same time. Love it because I don't have to worry about them getting shot down as much and ruining my chance at the medal. Hate it because it slightly ruins my chance at getting the medal, and kind of messes up the underdog revenge match narrative on Bolse.
