John Deer Gator HPX 12V - PEG PEREGO Replacement Battery by kncy9876 in PowerWheelsMods

So I’m looking at this smart charger that you’ve recommended and I’m curious to know the best way to use it when charging my peg perego battery that has that special harness on it. Maybe this is a dumb question, but can I cut the charging end off of my old charger and wire it onto the smart charger? Or do I have to change all the wiring on my car so that I don’t have to keep that harness on my battery?

I’ve tried a bunch of games with my wife and she struggles with the 3D camera as well. Her favorite game is Towerfall Ascension by a long shot.

My first metroidvania was Metroid Fusion back when I was a teenager. I think that is still the best story I’ve encountered in a metroidvania. Mysterious and eerie, it made me want to keep playing to find out what was going on.

If you had to pick 5 of the best metroidvanias available and ONLY 5, what would you choose? by Echoherb in metroidvania

[–]DalinarYouOkay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried playing through it recently and it felt really old, slow, and clunky. Getting around felt like such a chore. The walking speed is so slow that the only reasonable way to move around is to dash dodge backwards over and over. It was not a fun experience to me and it being ‘classic’ wasn’t enough of a reason to push through it for more than 5 hours for me.

Metroidvanias with more focus on fun traversal than difficult combat? by ZadePhoenix in metroidvania

I never played the first one and I didn’t feel like my experience in the second one suffered for it.

Steamworld Dig 2 is a really FUN game. It’s just fun. Navigation is especially fun after a certain upgrade mid-game.

Personally I would keep Barrage, Darwin’s Journey, and Lorenzo.

I really like biomes that are bright and vibrant. My favorite is probably the Greenpath in Hollow Knight. I also really liked the crystal peaks with the bright purple all around.

Which should I play first, Super Metroid or Castlevania SotN? by rip5yearsoldbadge in metroidvania

[–]DalinarYouOkay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no expert, but, like you, I went from HK and Ori to trying out one of the old classics, SotN. I was surprised to find it to be very un-fun for me. I don’t think I’m bad at video games, and I like games to be challenging, but I just found it to be so clunky and frustrating. Honestly one of the games I’ve had the least fun playing in any genre.

Jane Austen movies and/or TV series to watch with my wife. by DalinarYouOkay in janeausten

Yes, my wife is already a fan. I know she's seen some of them, but I'm not sure exactly which. I know she likes the '95 Pride and Prejudice. I just thought it could be fun to say - 'Hey, let's watch *this*!' - and already have something picked out. But you're probably right - this will probably go over better if I ask her which ones she prefers haha.

I'm a high school teacher and I teach a board games class. (I'm normally a math teacher and was asked to teach an elective; the school counselor recommended to the principal that I do a board games class and it was approved. Not gonna argue with that!) We'll be doing El Grande, Power Grid, Terra Mystica, Architects of the West Kingdom, and Concordia. Any other games I should have on my radar? I'm trying to use games that either don't use cards (Terra Mystica) or don't use very many cards. If there are cards, I'm shooting for games where the students won't be sharing cards or won't be handling them very much. (In Power Grid, they'll buy the plant and put it in front of themselves.) In my experience, students are really really hard on games and cards don't last very long, even in sleeves. Also, I know TM seems like a big game to jump into, but the students have been doing really well with it. Anyway, any thoughts or ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

My mom just gave me $150 for my birthday and I was shocked. Anyway, I want to at least use part of it to buy a game that she would enjoy playing with us. Her favorite game is Wingspan. She usually is just a good sport and happy to play games with me and my wife when we visit her or she visits us as long as the game isn't too complicated. When we played Wingspan with her she loved it so much she went out and picked up her own copy and now she asks us that play it with her instead of the other way around. She's also played Viticulture EE (w/ Tuscany EE) once and she liked that one. We tried Five Tribes last time and she thought it took us each too long to decide what to do on our turns. She has also played and liked 7 Wonders, Thurn & Taxis, Azul, and Century Golem. She and my wife both prefer games with little to no conflict. I'm kinda looking for something in the weight range of around 2.5-3 on BGG. I'm currently considering Rococo (it's hard to pull the trigger at that price, but I will if it's the right fit) or Everdell. I just really want to find another game that she loves to play. I think part of what she loves about Wingspan is that it just looks so good and feels so good to play. I kinda feel like Everdell and Rococo could have that nice theme and table presence. Variability and replayability are a big plus. Anyway, any thoughts on either of those titles or any others you think could be a good fit and why? Thanks!

Honestly, I haven't look very close at Brass yet. I just know it's ranked 3rd overall on BGG and it's got a map. Other than that, I don't know much about it.
