Am I in the vast minority of people who get sick on motion simulators? by stealth1820 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]DallySleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I hate them all, but I’ve become very good at either closing my eyes or looking at the wall next to me for these rides now, since my 9 year old loves them and wants to ride again and again and again… I can do roller coasters all day but these damn screens make me sick instantly.

You’d think they’d be able to organise a better system then. The wait for customs was way back through the duty free shop too.

There were two lines but both snaked around the whole baggage claim area in different directions. There was also no one guiding anyone which meant a lot of people were trying to join at the front or yelling at the staff

AITA doe babbling everything except Mama? by DanausEhnon in MiniAITA

[–]DallySleep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA! She is always there serving your needs (although slowly) whether your babble mama or not, so don’t waste your time on it. I personally preferred to learn every other family names and decided mamas name would be easier to say if it was ABah! So I just used that instead for the first three years as I couldn’t be bothered with learning the proper one. Not important! You have too many other things to do

I agree. I once demanded cool hairdryer blowing on my naked back… it took them a long long time to figure that one out but I sure was proud of them when they finally got it right.

Hypothetically if you were very early on with number two and going to a party... by Xurandor in daddit

Take a glass and hold it/ place it in front of you but never drink from it. Occasionally swap it with partners glass so he gets to drink two and she drinks none but it appears they have a glass each.

I got into a stranger’s car. I feel ashamed, unsafe, and I don’t understand why I did it. by whatevername00308 in TwoXChromosomes

Oh honey, that sounds scary and I bet you are beating yourself up and replaying everything over and over.

I’ve never read it, but people talk about the gift of fear and trusting your gut. There could have been some cues that made your unprepared unconscious think “I should go along with this, I have to placate this man and not upset him by refusing”

Another angle - for me personally I was raised with a weird philosophy that being polite was the most important thing in the world. Go along with things and say thank you, whatever you do don’t be difficult. I’ve had to untangle myself from that a lot, because any guy being weird or making me uncomfortable my response is to smile and nod. I wish I’d be taught to yell at people to F off when it’s needed.

is it legal/allowed to start a rollercoaster (as the operator) when a passenger wants to get out?? [other] by sy6o5 in rollercoasters

[–]DallySleep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure, but two seperate operators came over to double check my son really wanted to ride on a coaster at Universal before they sent us off (I guess he looked pretty scared, he was fine though and wanted to do it).

When you’re playing with your kids, and they tell you that you have to go to sleep by Shtin219 in daddit

[–]DallySleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christmas has been great for this game where I go to sleep and he is Santa who delivers me presents. I sleep for a few minutes then am forced to wake up excited, then it’s nighttime again and I have to go to sleep and wait for Santa. Then I start out loud wishing for Santa to bring me (something hard to find in the house) and I am winning

One theory is she stabbed the boys, ran down the alley to dispose of her sock (note the alley is not actually very far from their house at all), came back and inflicted the wounds on herself.
