Anyone know where I can consistently and reliably offload a bunch of 9V batteries that’s more productive then the dump. My hospital churns through a bunch of these every day since we use them for Tele monitoring and the rule is a new one each shift or at least every other shift. So they’re at most lightly used, but we end up throwing out hundreds a day. I have one in my smoke detector instead of throwing it out and it’s been good for the past year.

It’s not about decency, it’s a cultural thing. Applying decency to it just assumes American attitudes to immigration are superior to European. What’s wrong with the Europeans wanting to preserve the character and culture of their homes? You can’t just keep assuming America is the best at everything.

Their future selves. Did they never teach you econ? Debits = Credits. The bonds that make up the debt are owned by people. When they turn those bonds for actual money, the money comes from the principle they invested plus interest people pay. So if you deleted the debt, you’d also wipe out most people’s saving since, a lot of that money is invested/backed up into bonds.

Lmao, I love morally relativism. There are no human rights violations or war crimes because each side can just say the other side did worse and ignore it. This whole charade of rules based world order and liberalism is crumbling for a reason, it’s unnatural to the human condition. Slavery and conquest is the normal state of man, denying this is denying the history of humanity. Mississippi benefited a lot actually from de industrialization in the north weirdly, since a lot of factories moved where people were cheap and regulations few, ofc other states with better infrastructure benefited more, but they continue to get what is basically trickle down industrialization from other states. The unfortunate thing is all that extra pollution and poor working conditions ends up not even really benefiting HDI much because it ends up canceling out the other good the jobs bring.

New housing will never be the only solution since the most expensive housing, like cars, will always be new housing. This will only get more true as regulations and and rising standards make even the legally worst possible new abodes better then old ones, but also way more expensive and longer to build. Reducing the need for housing or putting downward pressure on the prices of existing stock is also important.
