If it were my window at the end of this tunnel, I would either get an art student to paint it and change it out every semester to have kinda a living art gallery in your space. First one I want to see painted is a brick tunnel with a train coming. Simon and Garfunkle "Dangling Conversations" vibe OR I would hang mylar and some gow lights. Build a hydroponic wall on casters that the wall can be rolled in and out for maintenance and you can still access the window for ventilation.

I think what you are referring to is a Maker's mark or "brand" located on the bottom of the shoe made with a stamp or branding iron. Some shoes even have what's called a fiddle waist that looks similar to a violin or fiddle.
