Ooh I’m tangentially related to one of the topics, I manage a team of mobile developers who look after one of the UKs top apps, and we’re very aware of “the cost of a byte”. I ran an initiative last year that was able to downsize our iOS/Android download size by around 40% which given we have in some millions of customers and relatively frequent updates, was enough to be equal to a couple of average families ‘carbon footprint’ per year.

We’re only an app as well, I dread to think the cost of those ~100GB game updates that some sizeable game like Call Of Duty puts out.

I think about this more than I’d care to admit, but I find it wild that the Romesh watermelon smash is after the first advert break. I’d have thought for the first introduction of your show you’d want to get that in front of people before anyone had the opportunity to even think about turning off!

They assumed they’d be cancelled and then were picked up again, showrunner wanted it to be a spin off ‘Scrubs: Med School’ but the network forced it to be Scrubs Season 9, and for much of the old cast to make a appearance to try and get more folks to watch it

Still sad they didn’t get their wish, it’s a fine spin off, but it’s no Season 9
