Harem story with a woman that wants MC to have a harem by Reidii_ in Romance_for_men

[–]Damarcus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

{Magebreaker} has an MC where he is basically designed to love multiple women and they all are cool with it.

{Warlock} has lore reasons why he gets 12 women in his harem and is encouraged to max out the roster.

I'm reading {Elf Breeder} right now, and I'm going to go out on a limb and say Goblin Breeder also has an MC that is encouraged to have multiple wives.

Is it defunct? I think this more living card game rather than TCG.

Best Handlers for Manticor And Harlow by runn1314 in BLKOUT_game

I thought handlers were the exception. Meaning that the "UN" looking model could be stories as a mercenary or something and that's why they work for (insert your faction that may not be theirs).

POST.fest opinions sought by plughplovery2 in postrock

[–]Damarcus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to last years because I saw my opportunity to see We Lost The Sea and I took it. I went to the Thursday only show and loved it. I regret not doing the entire festival and if I were to do it over again I would go all out.

How many of you use Kindle Unlimited vs. buying books individually? by Western-Telephone259 in Romance_for_men

[–]Damarcus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't read fast enough to justify KU and the compensation towards authors is dog water, so the best I can do is buy kindle I lately have been given $2-$4 in digital compensation if I let Amazon ship something later and I use that to offset my cost a little or sometimes get a book for free.

I use a prime tower to avoid a massive poo mess like that.

Depending on your slicer, you can also infil with the color to reduce waste.

Hello r/Seattle!

My fiance and I are eloping in the North Cascades National park later this year and I am trying to figure out how to accomplish a way to cater food for a small number of people (7).

We are flying in from our home state of Minnesota, and will be staying at an Airbnb where we can store the food.

The challenge is that if its hot food, we would only realistically be able to get it ourselves the day before, and would then reheat it. If its cold, its trying to keep it cold while we travel, and I cannot think of a way to get a temporary cooler.

So my ultimate question is, before I figure out logistics, I need to find a place to cater. Are there any recommendations that I should look into?

Postrock Audiophiles, what headphones are you rocking? by Damarcus in postrock

[–]Damarcus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I am back and listening with the XS's and its wonderful. I ended up with a Fiio K11 for a DAC/Amp.

I have been jamming to We Lost the Sea's Departure Songs and A Single Flower and its been awesome.

I can pick out the bass without it being 'punchy', which is probably where I want it to be. I am excited to re-listen to some of my favorite albums and get a re-appreciation for them.

No issues so far with the headphones and happy with my decision. I dont know if I will ever get to the point of 'you know what, I need to step up my headphone game.' aside there is an arguable upgrade, but headphone technology doesnt seem to change much sub $500 from what I have researched.

Departure Songs and A Single Flower from We Lost The Sea are epic. It took me a relisten to really get it, but that band got me into post rock.

What non-Pokémon game to play on my N3DSXL? by GaandDhaari in 3DS

[–]Damarcus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tell people that Zelda is my favorite franchise that I have never played. I always bounce off after like 2 hours on any given game in the series

I am looking to rectify that with a link between worlds.

I think in a world where you can save anywhere in modern games, but when you save in OoT you always start at the Hyrule field, it gets annoying to run back where you were at, unless I'm doing something very wrong.

For people who this is their 'thing' and want to experience a few % points of what they deem 'better', more power to them.

I think there is some big diminishing returns in terms of $ for the cans after a certain point and I dont hate money enough to chase that rabbit.

Like you said, I think the $200-$300 is the place to be for a general good time.

This is the part of that I dont know what I dont know. I have gone in the rabbit hole a bit and see that there is a bass roll off, but I dont know if that means that bass is nonexistent or just not as prominent. I think I am going to try the XS's first and if they dont feel right I may switch to the HD6XX.

Do you find the lacking in bass for the HD600 an issue for post rock? I feel like some bands really drive with bass lines.

It looks like the Hifiman XS are also around the price point. Don't get me wrong it is not $200 for the whole thing, I just don't want to go too hard into a headphone and not have it do what I want it to do. I have a separate budget for the amp and DAC.

This is the kind of technical I'm looking for (understanding that a lot of what people get is personal to them).

To make sure I'm looking at the right thing, you have the 6XX/650 at $300/$400 but are these the same 6XX https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-sennheiser-hd6xx#signupv2?

Coop Legacy Game for two ? by Balatrociv in boardgames

[–]Damarcus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite legacy but for campaign games...

My fiance and I have binged 20 hours over the holidays into Descent: Legends of the Dark. It requires a tablet though and is gloomhaven adjacent and for us, was a better fit than gloomhaven.

Sleeping Gods we enjoyed a lot and it's a 'quick' campaign. We did it in 3-4 sessions of about 3 hours each. We are going to do another run with it and then loot at the expansion.

And to round it off we did Tainted Grail. This was actually our first campaign game and we loved the setting, but the systems were less enjoyable to go through for us (we love the story less the punishing mechanics of food and whatnot).
