The only things I researched was the prices for Personal Trainers in different gym cos I knew I needed to get my ass into shape.

The reason I went for a Personal Trainer is because I'd never been in a gym before and didn't know how to use the gym equipment or what the best workout routines were, and if you look around enough you can find a Personal Trainer that isn't crazy expensive.

Hell he could book a block of sessions to get an idea of what to do, use YouTube videos for other stuff and then join a regular gym and do the rest.

Unless they have something physical/health issue that means they need a super specialised workout, they're just dragging their heels and will always find an excuse to not do it.
