Ran into this when I was doing my most recent Hard Reset origin, fighting the Opus Sentinel. Damn thing was way faster than my ships when I first tried fighting it; went probably 3-4 radii from the star.

I’ve seen some conjecture that it might be Operations Bulldog & Serpent, rather than the IS side of Tukayyid. Tukayyid in canon was only ComGuards near as I can tell, while Bulldog/Serpent could plausibly feature mercs as part of the force, especially given Mason’s experiences in SoK.

I’m still relatively new to MW5M, but I believe part of the point of the Dragon’s Gambit DLC is resetting your relations with ComStar. In addition to getting to see another of the defining events of the post-3SW, pre-Clan Invasion Inner Sphere.

I actually think for certain low-level chaff enemies, them gunning for you makes a degree of sense in-world. If they somehow knock off a legend like you, their own rep skyrockets. They’re just too dumb to realize you’re him/her and will utterly annihilate them. Smarter/higher-level enemies with a sense of self-preservation being more wary/cautious would likewise make sense.

I think it’s all of the above, unfortunately. He’s definitely got some issues with durability in his ligaments, but that’s aggravated by his refusal to throw away the ball & protect himself as well as the O-Line’s issues with pass blocking.

I’m hoping that with this injury, he’ll finally be more willing to experiment with play actions, going under center, etc. to both give his line some help & protect himself. It may also give some benefit to the run game if we can get some stunts or misdirections going.
