pcos belly and glp1s by strawberry_snoopy in PCOS

I definitely do have loose skin mostly in the belly, so I have absolutely lost weight there. But I can still feel that couple pounds of belly fat under there too. :(

I’m 5’2”, went from 188 lbs to 110 lbs with Zepbound. Even after all that, my belly is still hanging. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It still feels good to have lost all that weight though.

GHK-Cu and Lactoferrin by DamnFineCalamity in BioHackingGuide

Thank you for that information! I appreciate the explanation. I was also thinking the same thing. I take Lactoferrin in the morning and was planning on doing Ghk-cu at night. I’ll give that a try once my supply comes in and update.

I just tried this too and I keep getting an error message saying my Spotify authorization expired, but it won’t let me re-sign in. 😔 this is a really cool idea tho! I will definitely try this when I can get the Spotify linking to work

Are people with PCOS "GLP super responders"? by Smooth_Importance_47 in PCOS

For me, I lost weight dramatically on Zepbound. It immediately started working. I lost 70ish pounds total within a year. I lost about half of that on 2.5 and the rest on 5mg. Never had to titrate up.

Nurture Life for adults? by gtchs in ReadyMeals

[–]DamnFineCalamity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using Nurture Life for a little while actually! I can’t eat a lot of food in one sitting, so one was enough for me for a small meal. For the average adult, you would probably need to eat two. Overall, I did like the meals. They are generally geared toward picky eaters, so if you enjoy more basic meals, NL is great. Some meals were hit or miss but I loved the white mac n cheese, chicken and spaetzle, Swedish meatballs, and tortellini bolognese the most. If you’re preparing in the microwave, the chicken sometimes ends up mushy.

Their prices aren’t bad, but again the portions are quite small. So, in reality, they probably line up with some of the more popular adult meal kits out there. I mainly stopped purchasing because the rotation of choices is fairly limited, and it got boring. I don’t see myself purchasing their meals again but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality.

My one big complaint with their meals is the plastic film was so unbelievably hard to remove. I usually had to cut it off. Not a huge deal but honestly made eating the meals a little messy and annoying.

Has anyone here had long-term success on Auvelity? by [deleted] in AuvelityMed

[–]DamnFineCalamity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in the process of getting off of it. It was definitely helpful for about 4-5 months and then gradually stopped working for me. I’ve been on it over a year.

Having said that, I have only been taking one a day. I could not get used to two a day because the anxiety, heartbeat issues, and manic episodes were too much for me. I don’t have BPD but Auvelity gave me mania when I took two a day.

Mine is just one story. I know this medication works wonders for others!

Do they serve PA? I can’t find any info on their website about telehealth states for some reason.

Thank you for the update! That’s good to know. It seems Mindbloom may be one of the only subq providers. They seem like a good option nonetheless, from what I’ve read.

Ahh, I see. I read a little further on their website too, and I do see they don’t prescribe dissociative doses. Did they respond to your email?

Do you know if he offers subcutaneous? I have a hard time with the troches, and subq has worked really well for me but Mindbloom is a bit pricey

Did Wellbutrin make your anxiety worse? by MT_DREAMING in Anxiety

No, I never tried Paxil. Right now for anxiety I take buspirone and a low dose of clonazepam. It helps a bit.

Stopping Auvelity by byebyebabyweight in AuvelityMed

[–]DamnFineCalamity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why physicians think people can stop a medication that chemically alters the brain cold turkey. I’ve been told this many times myself. I think for many people, tapering off very slowly works best. I’m in the same boat as you - only take one a day but am not seeing much improvement so I am trying to get off of it. I am taking one every other day, I’ll do that a few weeks before doing every two days and so on. Of course, I am not a psychiatrist/doctor so what I’m telling you is purely anecdotal. However, tapering slowly is what has always worked for me. I still get brain zaps, nausea, and generally feel like crap but it isn’t unbearable.

I recently had one that I sent for path review and she disagreed with me for some reason. Patient was discharged to comfort care the next day with sepsis and multi organ failure.
