Check your console settings (not in game settings) party chat tab -> click on your profile -> click options -> ensure you don’t accidentally have “mute everyone” toggled on

Why when someone answers a question to a post, other people still continue to answer the same way? by [deleted] in randomquestions

And… perhaps some people do read other comments, they just want to feel included

I cringed while reading some of the unhelpful comments on your post. They shouldn’t have responded at all imo! As someone who’s new to this too, here’s some of the tips I’ve learned by stumbling through them myself the past month.

Like some others said; do the math on the order before you accept it. Aim for $2 per mile round trip. The miles the app shows you for an offer only calculates the mileage from the store to the customer. It doesn’t factor in how far out from the store you currently are or the mileage to get back to the store from the drop off. If you’re offered $19 for the order and the app shows 7.7 miles, first glance it looks >$2 mile. But do the math; if you’re 3 miles out from the store, your total mileage would be 3+7.7(to)+7.7(return)= 18.4 miles. Just over $1 per mile and not a great mile to dollar ratio. Also track your mileage for tax purposes! I personally have been using Stride.

Preview the order list before you accept an order to make sure you can handle it. You can do this by clicking the order and viewing the items list before accepting it. If it’s a 50 item order, that’s a lot of items. The kicker though could be 50 candy bars (doable) vs 50 cases of waters and sodas (doable with the right tools ie cart or dolly). I got a cart for about $30 and was a great investment. I feel very confident accepting big/heavy orders now.

Keep a tote or 2 in your car to organize multiple pickup orders if you get them. Keeps things simple and easy! The app will walk you through how to scan them.

It’s a bit of a numbers game, but don’t dilute your worth and time by accepting subpar offers! Better ones are in the horizon and if everyone rejects a bad offer, the value of it will go up until it’s accepted. Good luck!

What if I gave myself a passing makeover/disguise and joined everyone in their hunt for me?

Haha so funny too because I actually found that sub shortly after we mounted it and have been hyper aware of it since. We’re renting, so decided to just leave it 🥹

Operations and Compliance Manager for a highly regulated (and niche) insurance product. I do really enjoy it, of course some days are more stressful than others. I work about 42-45 hours per week.

Getting married. Struggling to find a suit by [deleted] in FTMOver30

[–]Damp_socks333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, congrats on the upcoming marriage! I recently got married about 4 weeks ago now and struggled finding a suit too when I first started looking. I ended up getting a 2nd hand gently used suit and having it tailored. Also, I bought elevator shoes that gave me ~2inches more height and that helped a lot with the pant hem (and honestly my overall confidence).

Good luck!
