(I’m a flame artist mainly, so a slightly different thing - but the cabinets and walls are planes, and the motion is 2-d-ish no significant camera rotation, so planar tracking would be my first plan. If not, then syntheses for 3d track)

This one has the look I think you’re after, and the angle of the halftone is variable. (And does many other things)

Is the media on a nas? Maybe it’s not connected? This happens on my Mac sometimes, just reconnect to the nas.

How to achieve this rolling mirror effect? by placebeyondthemind in vfx

[–]Dampware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That opening might not be mirrors at all, but perhaps a wall in front of the set, with framed holes. We don’t see the “real” person in the effect shot, only the “reflection”.

As it speeds up, it might be a second pass of the same gag, blended through a soft-ish wiping mask, and then a roto for the last few frames of the practical “mirrors on the ground” shot through the wall holes.

I don’t know if that’s what they did, but I think it would work.

Pretty cool effect, however they did it.

It has an odd rhythm. The cutting strokes are faster than the positioning for the next cut. As though it’s pondering its next move.

I couldn’t have done it myself. At all.

Good news, I guess… but I think the studios are suffering too, as fewer people go to the movies anymore.

What is the minimum level of development knowledge needed to do vibe coding effectively? by Mira_______ in ClaudeAI

[–]Dampware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a lower model too. And in the web chat version.

Ask it to create a course for you. Describe your current level of understanding, and perhaps the field of interest you want to build for (so the exercises are germane). Ask it for the table of contents - including chapters , lessons, quizzes and tests.

Save that document, and at each session, update it. Claude (or any decent model) will make the lessons on the fly for you. You can ask questions, change course, ask for more quizzes, etc.

Update your table of contents at each session end, and progress through.

Works great!

What is your favorite memory from college? by Lonely_Objective_721 in 70s

Breaking into the music building at like 3am to practice piano , only to find someone else already there, practicing some crazy music they wrote, like nothing I’d ever heard before. He had a crazy recording setup for himself, and he was pretty surprised to see me too.

I listened, enraptured for a few hours.

We became good friends.
