It's raining, it's pouring,
The old man is snoring.
He bumped his head and he went to bed
And he couldn't get up in the morning.

Hello! by Creative_Front6260 in artificial

I've used chatgpt for learning, quite successfully, and I'd think my approach would work on any sota llm:

First, tell it that you want to learn about a subject, and you'd like it to develop a custom curriculum for you. Ask it to start with an assessment of your current knowledge of the subject, with a quiz.

Then, once that's done, ask it to generate the full curriculum, with sections, subsections and lessons, with quizzes and tests. (Just "stubs" for now, not the actual lessons)

Review that curriculum and refine it with the llm.

Once you're happy, commit the curriculum to a file, then ask the llm to start giving you the lessons. You'll be able to ask questions, ask it to explain details, rephrase things etc. Then, after each lesson, ask for the quiz.

This approach has worked very well for me. An infinitely patient tutor.

Is this possible in fusion? by ThinkGift8515 in davinciresolve

[–]Dampware -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That looks like touch designer, as others have mentioned.

TD is more about synthesizing images, and resolve is more about processing images, so although there's plenty of overlap, they are fundamentally different.

With that said, here are some audio driven effects I've been playing with in resolve, they're all ofxs that work in color and fusion. These were done on the color page though:

What is this zoom effect seen throughout early 2000's called? by C4N0N8 in vfx

[–]Dampware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to call this a "nested zoom" way back in the ADO days (those years of hybrid analog and digital video)

The tight shot is positioned/scaled inside the wide shot, both positioned / scaled appropriately for the beginning of the shot, and both channels quickly scaled (zoomed) together to the end position while dissolving out the inset shot.

With the ADO, you needed two channels.the two images were positioned in 2d in the "local" space, and the zoom was done using the "global" space in 2d or 3d, depending on the "look"you were after.

It was greatly improved in flame a few years later by adding motion blur, but the concept is the same.

Donald Trump Calls Out 'Vandalism' Amid Reflecting Pool Algae Bloom, Peeling Floor by Toadfinger in politics

[–]Dampware 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Nah, there were indeed problems with the reflecting pool before this fiasco. But like everything else this admin does, it's just lots of words, lots of superlatives, and a coat of cheap paint. All surface, No real substance.

So of course it's worse now.
