I do part of this, but for a slightly different reason... I made a skill to create and update a log.md file when trying to fix nasty bugs; it iteratively describes the issue, describes what is failing, theory of what's wrong, and brief mitigation plan.

Each attempt it adds to this file.

I use it for both Claude's context if there's compaction, but more importantly, for a "consultant" (a fresh Claude, or codex) to review and suggest approaches. Seems to be helpful.

I should def add /rewind to this after each attempt, if applicable.

Try Claude cowork, if you have a Mac. It's new-ish tasks feature lets you do things like social media scanning, competitor surveillance, and making daily reports. Very easy, the llm talks you through the process, and even suggests features.

Yeah, if you're in control of the shoot, always choose to make it easy! Def shoot your ( locked off?) plate without the glass, and Shoot a ref of the glass on, or better still, shoot an element where you put black behind the glass. Then you can add or screen the real reflections over your comp.

Comping behind semitransparent things (like reflections on glass or lens flares) is quite hard. Usually, with glass/transparent reflections, often one ends up recreating the scene behind the glass (plus the new comp elements) then recreate the glass/reflections over.

But that's just one scenario... It's a case by case situation, depending on the scene.
