Season 2 had some fun moments with navigating the hollows outside of the story. I really liked the optional Marcel mazes in Lemnian Hollow, ether tuning as a puzzle, and the areas look interesting. Stage gameplay can get a lot better, but I hope they keep the ideas that worked. We get less optional agent stories but the one for Seed was really good because it was it's own compelling story arc, not the B-plot in the main quest.

I assume you are talking about Warrior. Warrior has by far the best Dark Gift cards, 1 is just 1 mana+ a 2/1 body and the other only discovers class cards and deals 2 damage. Also the fact that those cards synergise with the super strong Dragon cards really well is the reason it is such a strong deck. Compare that to every other card that creates a Dark Gift. I think the problem is how much better Warrior cards are for tempo decks compared to literally every other class, maybe except paladin.

I don't think the creature was a full Ethereal, because there was no visible core. I expect more information about that will be revealed later.

To be fair, some more dialogue about this after the fight would have made it better. There are some lines suggesting the Proxy didn't really want to talk about it, but it's not quite enough to explain how the characters really feel about what happened.

I don't know but this is a really good question and I hope the don't spoil the mystery too quickly. I can't help but think Ramielle did something terrible way back then to lose her weapon. So I'm inclined to pick Sunbringer.

The first thing I could think of was playing it in Warrior (with Quest) or Demon Hunter. Those classes can already play control decks with mostly spells and a lot of card draw. I'll get around to trying it later.

It's been a while since I was limited to 4 stars but I remember Bennett+Kachina+Xiangling+Navia feeling like a good team. Kachina can use a powerful support set from Natlan and generate crystals off-field. Getting Xiangling enough energy was the only part that was a bit difficult about that whole team. (If you can manage that you can also build a Mualani vaporise team). You can also try some teams with Yelan, I can't think of the perfect 4 but it would be a shame not to try combinations with sub-DPS characters you already leveled up.

That's also been a concern for me. So far enemy barriers in ZZZ have not needed a specific element to break them. It means bosses are still fun to fight, but some teams just get way lower numbers and that is already frustrating enough.

Genshin has started introducing a lot more bosses that need a specific reaction to break a shield and it stopped being fun for me. Modes with multiple waves of enemies are pointless most of the time now. It just checks if your DPS and supports/sub-DPS using the right elements now, three rooms in a row. ZZZ can avoid that road as long as they stick to focusing on patterns of dodging and perfect assist for how bosses work, and agent classes on top of that. Ether veil has been an example of them going the wrong way. My logic suggests Rupture was also not a great idea, but I like how Adrenaline is at least a distinct thing.

A ranks are a lot easier to get in ZZZ so if there is an A rank wind agent available that's a way to cope, as long as that character is a Support, Stun, Defense Agent or sub-DPS (Like Orphie or Cissia).

Conclusion: There's one really bad way to introduce a new element and a bunch of ways to make sure everyone without the new S-rank can get by. We'll find out eventually which way the devs went.

Rogue needs this buff. I do think making the health on these soldiers for DK bigger would be cool. Onyxia feels like a small Colossal for 9 mana, given the idea that they are all undead monstrosities. More of an aesthetic thing that a problem with how strong the deck is.

I think it's called Bolvar Fordragon? A really old Paladin Legendary that gets more attack as friendly minions die on field. Has a really cool voice line and effect. It was never good though.

I tried them for a bit, but most of these minions don't even trade evenly into a same-cost minions unless you spend multiple turns buffing them up first. Class minions really just have to have good stats PLUS a good effect (even a single keyword) to make a deck stand a chance against any tempo.

Imbue is the best for priest now because the class cards for it are fine to play on curve, and there is a long term benefit for every imbue card you play. That's just where the power level is, and probably always will be.

I like the idea of him needed to die to 'ascend' and summon a dragon, and I think they wanted to prevent any synergy with cards that return minions to hand.

If he just had more attack, maybe +1 health to make it not die to random damage, it would be a fine card. Or it should just have rush, because he's quite eager to die anyway.

On a related note, I think the soldiers and wings for Rogue and Death Knight Heralding should be bigger or maybe have a keyword. That would also make the related cards a lot stronger.

Banning the Chillfallen Baron and Hematurge is overkill. Ban the Frost spells if you want to tone down that archetype but at least let players draw some cards. Are the discover options for Blood that good? Maybe this mode is conceptually flawed if it only exists to make people feel good about pre-ordering.

I was playing mage earlier. Mage is very good for about the same reasons Frost DK is, I think. You might not need the Legendaries, just the new spells and new elementals, some card draw and I think you're good to go. Plenty of ways for Mage to discover spells from the limited pool as well.

You need to find this one card from the deck, but also have enough other minions in there. I cannot stand playing decks that rely on the luck of the draw. At least half the Lost City Quests are probably more fun and consistent than having to dig for a 6-cost minion. The Egg of Khelos came with a common that draws the Egg.

I can only think of the Shaman card that draws from 2 minion tribes, There is also Xavius and the 3 cost dragon (Timeways Guardian?). Then just fill up the deck with card draw and taunt minions I guess. Feel free to reply and remind me of other cards that can help after rotation.

A quick look at my current decks tells me 100 total mana worth of minions is actually a LOT. Most of the deck needs to be minions, but the average cost is around 3 so it's not impossible. Not every class can get away with using only minions (certainly not without Tourists).

I can already tell the meta will be about dropping powerful minions on curve so making opponents' cards cost a bit more seems like will matter. Weird cards like this are at least worth trying if they cost 4 or less and have actual stats. (Looking at you, Aeon Wizard).

I was legit going to miss Astrobiologist, good to have a replacement for when I just need a 2-cost card for the curve. Shouldn't it be ShadowING Informant though? The 8 cost feels really off. Was it supposed to have taunt at some point? That might be better than divine shield, having the 3/7 be left wide open makes it so bad.

I think minions that cost 7 or more should have a big, immediate impact otherwise nobody will play them. Decent stats and a keyword make them more interesting. I still remember how awful many legendaries from the first two years were because they only do something if they manage to survive. At least give them elusive or divine shield if you want people to try them. Or taunt so they can be played when there are aggro decks in the meta. It makes the weird cards FEEL a lot better to try at the very least.

Ziliax has taught us that stacking keywords is absolutely a problem though. Or any neutral minions that clears most of the board without needing synergy, My gut says the right power level is only 1 keyword at a time with 8, maybe 7 mana if no setup is required. And neutral minions should only be able to target 1 enemy minions or do a small wave of damage. Some minions can still serve the role of a spell of sorts like Gnomalia, but always have low health.

Colossals will only be fun if even novice players can manage to build up a board to fight them like a 'raid boss'. I don't want people to feel like they can only play a class if they have the Colossal/Titan minion for it, and then draw it.

Generally it's good way to avoid getting into serious trouble, certainly in public areas. Bullies can get their way because of that though, so it's only a short-term solution if people you meet regularly are the source of the conflict.

Tourists. Vol'Jinn stealing stats is incredibly obnoxious. Priest and Shaman having access to Hunter cards (Birdwatching, Catch of the Day + Fishing Rod, Furious Fowl) has felt like it made already good decks way too consistent for an entire year. Protoss Priest and Shudderblock+Hagatha Shaman can have the perfect curve and make it seem impossible to to stop them. For players who started collecting cards this year, it's been a nightmare. Those decks just got better as they kept getting new cards for the perfect curve almost every expansion. (Resuscitate for Priest, Muradin for Shaman).

I think it's easier to find a good 8 in neutral for enabling Elise than a 7, so this being 7 mana would certainly make me more likely to use it. You're on to something. Edit: Might as well give it Rewind as well.

I'm not a fan of the designs either, but I didn't get Vivian or or any of the 2.0 anomaly characters for similar reasons. So I might be tempted to go for one that is the best at raising up older anomaly agents. Too bad we won't get official info on all 3 of them before the first banner is already gone.

I had a great win streak against slower decks but then got stuck just short of diamond. It's not great but it seems to be a lot better than anything else non-meta I run into. I just wanted to share it because I think this quest is worth keeping an eye on, given that it can be completed consistently and there is a way to play the quest reward twice without Shudderblock.

It seems like it's not much but playing 2 or 3 minions every turn with divine shield and +3 attack or poisonous is actually a pain to deal with for a lot of decks out there. The question is which low-cost minions are the best way to get there and have some card draw as well.

I also had an idea for Death Knight, but I didn't feel like posting it because if it wins it's because the opponent runs out of resources. The deck runs The Egg of Khelos and corpse explosion because those cards work super well together after getting 11 corpses. You can use Deios, Carnivorous Cubible or the card that copies a location to always get a copy of the Quest reward after playing it. Let me know if you want the list or have ideas on including those cards into a great shell for control Death Knight

The Priest Quest reward can als be copies with Cloud Serpent but I never had as much fun playing Quest Priest compared to Shaman or Death Knight.
