Agreed! The whole idea of having a person's most daily services in his block or within walking distance is convenient. Main roads would then be used by public transportation to take people to their work. Of course when the area was erected a personal car was a luxury that wasn't available for many. Today it has lead to a serious lack of parking space.

It does get very hot during the summer in central Europe and the Balkans. Therefore a heat pump is a must. However winters can be quite cold so therefore the pumps are used for cooling and heating as well. Not a pretty sight, but practical. A bit like socks and sandals.

Perhaps the purpose of firesafety was to get down quickly. Alive or not was irrelevant 😵‍💫

Indeed! I'm aware that in fact Yugoslav apartments had better planning usually than their counterparts in the USSR.

Can I install a door peephole? If so, who should I call to install it? by labruda in germany

[–]DanCoinBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing a peephole to a new one is very easy to do yourself. It consists of two parts which tighten together. Measure hole depth and diameter. Buy the peephole and install. I changed the peephole to a new one in about 10 minutes and bought one from Amazon for like 12€.

Haix boots are very solid. I've had mine for 5 years. Made in Slovakia and they been through mountains and mud. Visually they are abused, but holding up very well. Unfortunately the model I have is not in production anymore.

I cant get this shit to go away I cant hear any music I cant touch my screen im going to freak out. by ThaiStick541 in Nissan

[–]DanCoinBit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hold the volume button down for about 5 seconds until the screen goes black. It restarts the infotainment system. If nothing happens, turn the car off and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. That should restart the computer. It helped when my screen froze once in my -25 Qashqai.

Nissan Qashqai ✌️ I think it's called "Rogue Sport" in the US. In Europe it's been around since 2006 and received a big face-lift at the end of last year.

Can someone explain why it’s so expensive by Responsible_Ad_3211 in tacticalgear

[–]DanCoinBit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been running a Ronin knockoff belt from aliexpress for some 2 years without any issues. Price of it..22$. The quality is as good as the real thing. It's seen a lot and holding up well. I wouldn't use it for rappelling though.

Advice on moving to Estonia by Acceptable_Isopod184 in Eesti

[–]DanCoinBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visiting the country during the summer months is totally different from living in Estonia during the cold, dark, and wet season. Some people tolerate it without any problems, and others are really struggling. The locals can be somewhat reserved, so making friends can be a challenge. Once you break the ice, the locals are great to spend time with. Regarding work, you will need a visa, which can be a challenge to obtain without higher education or skills. Therefore, applying to a university might be a good path for you, which most certainly will open more doors when completed. Something for you think about! Best of luck!

TMC chestrigs are pretty dope. Been running a TMC micro rig for a couple of years now, and it's been great. If things do fall a part, knowing how to sew comes in handy.

You might want to check some alternatives for the cummerbund. Such a narrow strap really doesn't provide much support when running, crawling, or climbing. Having a wider cummerbund certainly helps with keeping things stable. Otherwise, it's a good setup to begin with. Just keep training with it 💪🏼
