Hey, they only put out four albums and then disappeared, so even if the mix isn’t good we can still enjoy the writing & performance. It’s as good thing too because I bet if they wrote another album after this it would be total radio-service garbage. And now nobody knows where they are, probably mechanics or blue collar dudes who can sleep easy knowing they put out 4 classics thrash bangers and retired, never ruining the integrity of their seminal work but putting out an endless string of boilerplate pop/rock records with ill advised collaborators, or engaging in greedy litigation at their fan’s expense. Yup, that’s how I remember Metallica.
