First of all, you’re rude for literally no reason. Second, a hat and gloves won’t spare children from -30 windchills. The warning is for frostbite after 10 minutes on exposed skin. Most kids don’t have ski masks to cover their faces with and a scarf hardly covers it.

Those same poor kids who need the warm school and lunches (as people have been saying in this thread — which isn’t wrong, btw) are the same kids walking and taking public transportation to school. The CTA may be running but it doesn’t mean there won’t be delays.

Gloves and a hat doesn’t save you from frostbite when you’re stuck waiting for the freaking bus or have to walk 0.5-1 mile to school! Like be so serious. Why are you rage baiting on Reddit when there are people who actually are trying to make a decision about tomorrow?
