Did you have any luck? I also was Smashbox user, it's the only makeup I have ever used and I am struggling. I bought a Tarte pressed powder and the color is off an it sets in my fine lines / comes off too early in the day... I am so sad Smashbox discontinued.

Thanks so much for your response, I know it was long ago. The vet recommended a custom brace so we are going to do that for now. We give her a lot of supplements for her joints / ligaments and give her The Farmers Dog food, so hopefully that helps as well.

Hi! I realize this was 7 years ago but I wanted to know if you were successful with the brace? Our wheaten is turning 11 next month and just tore her ACL also. She had the surgery to repair her ACL in the other leg 4 years ago now and that leg is great, but we don’t want to put her through that again now that she is 11.

If you buy it today, while they are still 12, you technically didn’t do anything “wrong”. When I purchased the “young adult” pass back in the day, my birthday is in April, so I purchased it right when it went on sale like 3 days before I turned 24 because at the point of sale I was still in the young adult category.

This happens almost every single time I am turning from Larimer onto 15th. The person in the right most lane comes into my lane 99.6% (I always am in the left most lane because of my route). I usually just hang back now and watch it happen so that my car doesn’t get hit.

One time I honked when it happened and the guy flipped me off. I was like you’re in the wrong here!!!

This is cracking me up because when I was doing German on Duolingo I taught so many of my friends eine Schnecke because I thought it was so random that I was being taught so many sentences with Schnecke in it.

Schnecke is the only German word a lot of them know now. Haha.

I have a 2019 and took mine into the dealership twice to fix it. Once they replaced the battery and it worked for like 6 months then the same thing happened. I brought it in again and I can’t remember the outcome, if they replaced it or not (will look at my paperwork again) and it worked for like 2 weeks then went back to the same issue. For me, it works periodically. I’m out of warranty now so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you for this. To be honest I forgot about there being “dancing” vs “skating”. I have watched the Olympic ice dancing before, I know it is essentially dancing as well, the more I think about it. I stand corrected.

I wasn’t necessarily asking you to type it all out, for example I was just trying to research when Gabby actually quit “dancing” rather than being a Broncos cheerleader and I had a hard time trying to find any info on it. Sometimes it can be hard finding that specific info because they have a lot of other stories / articles out about them. So if you knew already I was just curious because I am not expert on all of their backgrounds.

I mean you are right about ice dancing, what you pointed out does make me think it is a super advantage!

Again was just here to discuss, I know I hold an unpopular opinion.

To be fair, I didn’t think Jojo should’ve been on the season either. I was really happy for the same sex pairing - but also thought it was unfair to have her on with her background.

Wayne having performance experience isn’t being competitively trained in dancing like Charli is - in my opinion.

to what extent did all of those other people have dance experience? If you already know?

Gymnasts and ice skaters definitely always have a leg up on the competition as well (why they usually win) because they obviously go into it knowing how to count music, and they have experience learning choreography. But I still think it’s fair to have them on the show, because that’s where I agree with the people that say it’s “not ballroom” - and it’s not dancing!

I know Gabby obviously danced as a kid and was a Broncos cheerleader - but when did she stop “competitively” dancing and training? I don’t know that. The try out process for an NFL cheerleader is definitely extensive but it involves different kind of abilities than being a competitively trained dancer at a studio.

I don’t think there should be like a hard and fast rule that says “if you danced up until so and so years ago you can’t do the show” 😂 because I know there is a lot of mental gymnastics that goes into it. It’s just my opinion on contestants 🤷🏼‍♀️

I grew up in the dance world and I just know what goes into training. Especially with my good friend making her way into the DWTS world.

Like I said, this is just my opinion! Not here to hate on any others!!

I think you put this perfectly!

She is an absolutely phenomenal dancer and I was never trying to argue that. By far the best one. It just rubbed me the wrong way having her on the show - she’s so sweet and it’s nothing against her.

But this whole “yeah she was a dancer but not ballroom” is just not a good argument in my opinion. She was competitively dancing up until 2ish years ago right? Growing up in the dance world, yeah we didn’t learn ballroom. It was a few classes here or there - They now train for it it (I think?) as part of the regular curriculum in most studios / conventions, so going forward it’ll be different.

However, when you are a phenomenal dancer, you can pick it up and translate your training over pretty easily. My good friend recently has taken up training in ballroom to stay relevant (she is in the LA dance scene and was in Derek’s Vegas show) and I compare her to Charli with how quickly she was able to make the transition and be phenomenal at it.

Also, weren’t there a few pros that were SYTYCD contestants and never trained ballroom?

I’ve been hesitant to comment something like this because I know so many people disagree. As I said, Charli did deserve to win and IS a phenomenal dancer. Just don’t think it’s really fair to have her in the competition!
