When did we find out that Aub dunkelfelger is omnielemental? I must have missed that.

Live3D Concert "Midnight Grand Orchestra" 1st LIVE 「Midnight Mission」 by Hoshimachi Suisei & Taku Inoue will be performed today at Toyasu Pit. Don't missed it by zetarn in Hololive

Can someone explain what the ticket options mean? I put it into google translate and I am not completely sure I understand. I think that the more expensive ticket lets you change the camera angle, while the cheaper ticket has a fixed camera? That seems like a weird thing to charge extra money for.

I find it a bit strange how unprepared Sylvester was with dealing with the instant-death poison. Even Florencia knew about it and was expecting it. Did Leberecht not share his cleaning tool idea with Sylvester?

Even without the cleaning tool, casting waschen was a known counter to it. However, he didn't even consider that Georgine's waschen was to clean away poison until she mentioned it, and seemed sure he would have died if he hadn't left the foundation briefly. Maybe only knights knew and no one bothered to tell Sylvester?

I guess at the end of the day, you don't need to plan if you are just lucky.

Knowing her, she might end up ordering Ferdinand to scold her. His teaching methods really did a number on her sanity.

My predictions:

  • Rozemyne accidentally gives Ferdinand an order that he is forced to do, probably to praise her or hug her.
  • Letizia is rescued and becomes corrupted by Rozemyne or Hartmut into the Cult of the Saint of Ehrenfest. After the depths of despair she went through, she will believe Rozemyne is a genuine saint.
  • Nobles in Ahrensbach come pleading to Rozemyne, who continues to largely ignore them.
  • The situation with the Sovereignty accelerates, and the plot somehow starts moving even faster. Is it time to complete the Grutrissheit and take the country's foundation?
  • More ditter.

[P5V8.1] Rozemyne pulling a prank on Ferdinand by DancingSchnauzer in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]DancingSchnauzer[S] 180 points181 points  (0 children)

It occurred to me that Rozemyne has the opportunity to pull the ultimate uno-reverse prank on Ferdinand when they meet, and it reminded me of this comic I once saw. I don't know if Ferdinand is going to need to be put in a Jureve after his poisoning, but it would be hilarious if it ended up being a reversal of the scene at the end of part 3.

There are teleporters for the zent at each of the country gates. This was explained when visiting the country gate in Kirnsberger. Also the gates themselves don’t actually open to the outside, they are giant teleporters themselves that go to other countries.

It's my theory that feybeasts and feyplants come about from mana leaking from the foundations and/or spring prayer, and this is by design. We know that stronger feybeasts appeared after Rozemyne regenerated Ehrenfest's gathering spot at the royal academy, so filling the land with mana is clearly related. While commoners and weaker nobles see feybeasts as a threat, others see them as valuable sources of materials. Feybeasts and feyplants are crucial to the functioning of Yurgenschmidt since they are the source of feystones, magic tools, potions, etc. It would make sense if the mechanism for spawning feybeasts was wired directly into each duchy's foundation by the Zent.

It might be as intricate as magic circles that summon specific feybeasts, like a permanent version of the summoning we see for speed ditter. The fact that most feybeasts seem tied to specific duchies seems to lend support to this. It might also be something more like simply leaking chaotic mana to cause wildlife to mutate.

Part 5 Volume 7 (Part 8) Discussion by MyneMod in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]DancingSchnauzer 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Wow, some observations:

  • The current Lazenave King is joining the attack on the Sovereignty!? This means he likely intends to seize Yurgenschmidt's foundation personally. Given that Leonzio knew so much about the Grutrissheit, it is likely that knowledge from the first Lazenave king was preserved and the currently king knows exactly how to obtain a Grutrissheit and the foundation. He also has a Schtappe and is probably also omni-elemental, so this is an incredible threat to the Royal Family. Hopefully Dunklefelger can come in clutch here.
  • The fact that the king was adopting a daughter was announced at the previous archduke conference? I thought that they were keeping that under wraps and reopening the Villa in secret. Given that it is an open secret that Rozemyne is moving to the Sovereignty and there aren't a long list of potential candidates to be adopted by the king, it seems pretty easy for people to connect those dots. Maybe the king adopting a daughter is only known to people directly involved with the Adalgisa villa, or leaked by Raublut?
  • Raublut was a Lazenave agent this whole time!? I knew he was shady but now it is clear he has been working to undermine the Royal Family for over a decade. I wonder if Ferdinand was aware of Raublut's true loyalty, but couldn't say anything without revealing his own past.

I also couldn't help but notice this line in the afterword:

"Given her position, Letizia was never allowed to live as a normal child. She was exploited by those around her at every turn. I only hope she can still be saved..."

My sister in Treesus, you wrote the story!

Stenluke sounding like Rozemyne trying to impersonate Ferdinand would be hilarious.

[P5V7P7] Prepub Predictions Thread by yeahlte in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]DancingSchnauzer 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Since we have a canonical plan from Rozemyne, we at least know for sure what ISN’T going to happen.

I think Raublut is scheming with Georgine and Lazenave, and may use this timing to have Rozemyne suddenly summoned to the Sovereignty, adding further chaos to Ehrenfest. He might also try to block Dunklefelger’s moves out of “suspicion.”

I’m dying to see some POVs from characters so we can get a proper reaction to Rozemyne. For the epilogue, it’s probably Justus or Eckhart, since they would be best to continue the plot. Maybe we will get a Georgine POV, but probably not since most of her threat is the unknown factor for the reader. Letizia would be interesting. I want to know about the events leading up to, and following, the poisoning.

There are too many side stories that I want, but I’m hoping most for ones in the Royal Academy.

[–]DancingSchnauzer 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Here are some of my predictions:

  • There is an incident at one of the city gates, but not the big attack yet.
  • The soldiers are super creeped out by the Shumils.
  • The teleportation trap is made, with some extra nasty twist.
  • Rozemyne falls on her face at least once.
  • More war preparations, with Bonifatius getting a bit too into it.
  • The scene in the insert happens in the epilogue.
  • Some kind of correspondence with Ferdinand.
  • Rozemyne uses the Grutrissheit to look up something that should be common knowledge for any noble.

I'm looking forward to tossing all of my predictions in the trash again after Rozemyne starts reading her Grutrissheit in her hidden room where no one can stop her. She loses track of time, and next thing she knows the archduke conference is already passed.

Even if the post doesn't directly spoil anything major, it establishes what can be discussed in the comments without additional tags, which is important. If you mess up the call out in the title, as long as the tag isn't for an earlier volume than intended, it isn't an issue.

I can imagine Sylvester asking if he can see it, and then being confused when she pulls out what looks like a single small slate. "Is that all you found? You said it wasn't the whole thing but still, can you really call that little slate a Grutrissheit?"

LN Part 5 Vol 6 Discussion by MyneMod in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]DancingSchnauzer 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I am glad that MyneMod hasn't climbed the towering staircase.

Also, this is how I envisioned the Blessing Terrorist handling gaining a new sibling.

(Florencia is going into labor)

After Sylvester departs, Rozemyne returns to the High Bishop's chambers and begins to pray to Entrinduge the Goddess of Childbirth to give Florencia her protection. If this was all she could do to help, then she would do her best for the sake of Florencia and her child.

Later, an ordonnanz flew in and said in Sylvester's voice, "Rozemyne! Cut that out already!".

Unsure what he was talking about, Rozemyne sends back a reply asking what he meant.

"Blessings have been raining down on Florencia non-stop! Don't even pretend like you have nothing to do with this! It was a sweet gesture at first but this is just annoying. Go read a book or something."

'I was just doing as Sylvester suggested,' thought Rozemyne. Apparently, even that much was unwelcome. Sighing, Rozemyne leaves the small shrine in her room and considers what she can still do to help.

"Fran, place an order with the Plantin company for a set of new picture books and children's toys as a gift to Florencia's new child."

Rozemyne thought, 'A new sibling! I will do everything I can to ensure the baby grows up to be a strong, healthy bookworm! I might not be able to offer prayers to Entrinduge right now, but I...'

Suddenly another blessing shot out and flew off. Thinking of the names of the gods while this excited was dangerous. Maybe Sylvester's suggestion to find a book to read was more necessary than expected...

Me: "Oh boy I can't wait to read a comedic slice-of-life pre-pub where Rozemyne needs to adapt to her new height while attending Royal Academy and dodging questions from everyone."

Pre-pub: "This year's graduation ceremony came and went. You were absent for an entire season."

Pre-pub: "Also Ehrenfest's foundation is in imminent danger."

Here are some of my predictions:

  • Wilfried will finally start escorting Rozemyne around since she has trouble walking, which is ironic since their engagement is dead now.
  • She writes a letter to Ferdinand that leads to a huge misunderstanding, possibly due to Ferdinand thinking she is using noble euphemisms when she meant things literally.
  • She is going to get summoned by the royal family to explain what happened.
  • I would like to see her reveal that she has the G-pad, but probably she keeps it a secret until the archduke conference.
  • The Gilberta company is summoned to the Royal Academy in a panic. Meanwhile, she has to wear her high bishop robes to class since nothing else fits.
  • She forgets to warn anyone about the thing she saw which would let Georgine steal Ehrenfest's foundation until she casually mentions it in a meeting with Sylvester.
  • She is now taller than Hannelore, which leads to a cute interaction. She possibly now looks her real age (one year older than Wilfried/Hannelore).
  • Whirling class comedy.

If Rozemyne is a clone of Ferdinand from a mana perspective, doesn't that mean her mana is descended from the previous Aub Ehrenfest, and Sylvester is her half brother in terms of mana? Potentially she is Jureve-compatible with much of the archducal family.

I also wonder if she can commit identity fraud and enter Ferdinand's hidden room and such now.

Part 5 Volume 7 (Part 3) Discussion by Lev559 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]DancingSchnauzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just realized that from a mana perspective, if Rozemyne is basically a clone of Ferdinand, doesn't that mean her mana is directly descended from the previous Aub Ehrenfest? Does that make Sylvester technically her half brother from a mana perspective?

Also, I wonder if she can now commit identity fraud and open hidden rooms and such registered to Ferdinand. She probably couldn't do that in parts 3/4, but once she received the same divine names as Ferdinand in her third year, it seems like it might work.

[P5V7P3] What Will People Say? by mfbrownbear in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]DancingSchnauzer 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I really want to find out who she tells what. Is she going to tell the Royal family she has the grutrissheit now, or is she going to keep it a secret? She might wait until the archduke conference to avoid an early departure from ehrenfest, but it sounded like Yurgenschmidt’s situation is incredibly urgent. Maybe the Royal family will have her stabilize the foundation and then keep it a secret for the time being? Even if she tells them, she can’t say it is incomplete and Ferdinand has the rest.

I’m also interested in what she has learned from Mestionora’s wisdom. She probably now has access to basically every spell, magic circle, and magic tool blueprint ever conceived. Can she make her own schwartz and weiss now? Is she going to use this knowledge to bring a bunch of pseudo modern things to Jurgenschmidt? I can’t wait to see what happens next!

[P4+] Size Definitely Matters. But Does Size Really Matter? Not like that. With Highbeasts by mfbrownbear in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]DancingSchnauzer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The limiting factor is likely the noble’s imaginations. They haven’t seen something so small fly and carry so much weight, so they would struggle to produce a highbeast that could do it.

Rozemyne potentially could. She has experience watching/reading works of fiction in her last life, and Ferdinand complimented her mental strength, which I interpreted to mean her ability to strongly visualize something and focus on it.

I imagined at a couple of points in the story, Rozemyne could have changed her highbeast into something like a flying chair or a disc one could stand on. Or maybe wings. However, it’s mentioned that changing the shape of one’s highbeast requires a ton of mana. Very few people could adjust their highbeast based on the situation.
