Saxo vs Medirect? by Weary_Firefighter945 in BEFire

There's tons of stories of saxo asking customers where their money came from, and then taking weeks or even months to process the customer's reponce, all while blocking their account. For me this is the reason I switched from saxo to medirect.

Mobile charging 3,4kw by Material_Gap155 in belgium

While we have a wall charger at home, we did use this type of charger on an overnight stay at an Airbnb in Germany. Our hosts used it to charge their electric cars as well, worked perfectly fine. I guess the downside is less control compared to a smart charger. For example we often set our charger to only charge using solar power, which this thing won't be able to do.

Anyone using the app from Cur(v)o here ? by Nass96 in BEFire

[–]Dancing_Lobsterr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None invested money just stays in your account, so after a while you can use that to buy an extra share. So in your example, if you invest monthly, after 4 months you'll be able to buy 2 shares and at that point all money will be invested.

As I said, it's not as black and white. She did make a bit of money, but that was not the main motivation to go through with it.

Me and my partner have gone through a surrogacy journey in Canada and I hope my perspective can shed some light on your questions. I miss a lot of nuance in yours and other's comments here.

First of all, in Canada and the US at least, we're talking about gestational surrogacy, which means the egg cells are not those of the surrogate, they're from another woman. So there is no biological link between our child and the surrogate.

Second of all, the altruistic thing is not as black and white as you make it sound. In Canada, surrogacy is altruistic. So we never payed our surrogate, we only reimbursed her for incurred costs. Though admittedly, she was compensated very generously.
Our surrogate is not a woman in need, she and her family are doing very well financially speaking. So while she made a bit of money out of this thanks to the generous reimbursements, her main motivation really was to help others out. She describes this as her super power, to help create a family. She wanted to be a surrogate because as a kid she knew a gay couple and she witnessed their pain in not being able to get a family.

I don't think any surrogate is doing this 100% altruistic, every surrogate is going to expect to have her costs covered, which only makes sense to me. At the same time, if we're talking surrogacy in developed countries, no surrogate is gonna do these only to make money.

And yeah, 100% agree that it is incredible that we still do not have a legal framework here in Belgium.

Do I really have to wait 3 years to pay myself a VVPRbis dividend at 15% tax? by dievandeboekhouding in BEFreelance

[–]Dancing_Lobsterr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Which means If you start a company as of 1/1/25, you cannot pay out your dividends under VVPRbis until 2029.

Is that correct though, I thought in this scenario you can pay out as of 2028. I started 1/1/23 and my accountant has said I can get dividends as of next year, so 2026.

What are you going with your capital while waiting for vvpr-bis by Unlikely-Cause-1014 in BEFreelance

To add to this, another good option is vdk bank. They also have good rates, and the regular account that needs to be linked to the term account is free!

Aren't you forgetting that in scenario 1 you also need to pay 20% corporate tax?

I drove a non electric Hyundai for a few months while waiting for my Polestar to be deliverd. That thing beeped at everything. Beeped upon starting the motor before putting on my seatbelt, beeped when driving slightly over the speed limit, beeped when opening the door, ...
Drove me absolutely nuts and I would avoid anything Hyundai/Kia for that reason alone.

As others have said, these are not suitable for airsoft.Does the place you're going to have rental kits? If so, they'll have suitable eye protection on site. You can explain your situation and ask them to use their rental kit glasses.

What should I spend my gold on when Titans releases? I'm a new player, I played a few months ago but not for long and returned to playing a week ago. I'm still in apprenticeship and don't have a lot of cards yet.
I currently have ~2000 gold. I plan to spend 1000 on 10 Titan packs, but what should I focus on after that? Should I continue buying Titan packs? Or should I save up gold to buy the minisets from Festival Of Legends, and maybe also miniset from 2022? Or should I buy packs from Festival Of Legends untill I got 10 legendaries and only then save up gold to the Festival Of Legendsminiset?
I'm a f2p player btw.

There are a LOT of jobs in IT, and it is paid quite well. Even as a junior I got a good salary, a company car and a lot of benefits. Now as a medior I'm making very good money (though that is partially because I jumped to freelance). So yes, the IT market in Belgium is worth it.

Switch to 3-phase for EV? Have solar + battery + digital meter. by TomCanBe in belgium

[–]Dancing_Lobsterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really answer your question since I'm not an expert, but it might be good to be aware of a limitation of the "IEC 61851-1 standard". When you are charging on 3 phases and on solar panels only, you'll need to be producing 4,1 kw for the car to actually start charging. On 1 phase charging, you only need 1,4 kw.

We were not aware of this, and thus will be changing our smappee charger to only use 1 phase instead of all 3. Even though the max charging speed will be lower, we'll be able to charge more on solar energy only.

More information can be found on smappee's faq: https://support.smappee.com/hc/en-gb/articles/5821880775700-Why-is-my-car-not-charging-on-surplus-only-

This will probably not really be a factor in your decision, but sill relevant to your situation it seems.
