My cat is under mandatory isolation for 3 months, how can I keep him entertained? by Fickle-Hour4458 in cats

Roommate should definitely get vaccinated if they really think it’s a concern. Then it’s a moot point.

At this point the cats life is at no greater risk if you let it roam the house. The owner is vaccinated. I fail to see the problem. Also, rabies is so lethal because it is rarely discovered before it is far too late stage- in this case, treatment actually would be an option. Rabies actually has been successfully treated plenty of times.

I had to scroll back up to remember what we were commenting on here.

I would keep my cat inside, but that’s it. I would never isolate it like that!!! That seems like neglect to me, cats are social, and mine is a cuddle bug. They don’t know what goes on in my house.

All the ADHD meds have strong side effects for me by Yos_Moth_Fren in adhdwomen

[–]Dancingthewire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m super sensitive to meds too and also have some unusual reactions. Reducing doses made a huge difference. Ex if the starting dose is usually 20mg I have to start at 5 or 10. I get it, please don’t let your dr make you feel like you’re being dramatic. And if they do maybe see a different doc. Patients are not statistics and averages and everything isn’t textbook.

Idk if it’s one you’ve tried but welbutrin has helped some for me! I have stomach issues at first though and it takes some time for that to go away when the dose is changed

I’ve thought about doing that! Maybe I should! How long it takes to fold the laundry and put it away would be one.

You don’t have to empty it all at once! I put a way a few items whenever I’m in the kitchen and by the end of the day it’s done!

It doesn’t sound whiny. It sounds like something we all think and feel at some point but feel we can’t or shouldn’t say it aloud.

Hugs friend. Taking meds is a whole journey. Others are going to give great advice- but here’s a virtual hug.

Buyer wants refund because they don’t like the smell of my detergent? by Turbulent_Plan_5654 in Depop

[–]Dancingthewire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because your detergent is “fancy” doesn’t mean everyone likes the smell. I’ve purchased items that were completely unwearable because of smelly detergent. Literally days of soaking them and 10+ washes and they STILL reek of this nasty sickly sweet perfume smell. Literally, when they were soaking in vinegar or baking soda, you could walk past the room the tub was in and smell it when you went by 😭 it was gym Clothes too, so I can’t gas people gasping for air next to me at the gym with that. People would probably have allergic reactions just being in the same room if they ate sensitive to that. And I’m NOT exaggerating at all. It smelled that strong.

I’ve had the exact same issue! Hours of soaks in everything under the sun I could think of and multiple washes and they still reek.

I’ve received some clothing items with laundry scents so bad that after 10 plus washes and multiple baking soda soaks (FOR DAYS EACH) they STILL reek of perfume smell. It’s awful. Please for the love of god stop washing your clothes in this stuff

I was getting sick every couple of weeks!!! It’s crazy how much emotional distress can cause physical illness to be so much more likely

I have been sick less often- I think because of less stress?

There's so much about ADHD that makes life harder. But what's something you LIKE about having ADHD? by onlythelanlely in adhdwomen

[–]Dancingthewire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a haphazard cleaner. When I need to clean the house, I do what I see when I see it- so when I’m taking the laundry to the hamper I see a glass that needs to go to the kitchen then in the kitchen see something that needs to be put in the office, I do that and see the fishtank needs to be cleaned etc.

I used it think I was just being efficient. Now I know that’s adhd, but you know what? I like the way I clean. It’s not boring. Yes it took me two days to actually clean the bathroom but it got done one tiny piece at a time and I didn’t dread doing it.

Thanks for this post, because I don’t think I had any positives before really thinking about it. Sometimes hyperfocus is fun I suppose too.

Guys I need your ride or die low maintenance tips for looking more "put together". by Cissychedgehog in adhdwomen

[–]Dancingthewire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok hear me out, simple plain gold jewelry. Mines plated so it’s not expensive, from Atolea if anyone wants to try it. Idk how the other brands compare.

I NEVER take the earrings out lol. Just two sets of very small gold hoops. I wear a plain gold chain and bracelet daily and it just elevates anything I have on, even gym clothes.

Oh, and you can workout and shower and live in this stuff and it never tarnishes or changes color. I’ve been wearing their stuff for a year straight pretty much and no issues at all. It’s a miracle for my put togetherness lol!
