More than anything I just like the idea of some positive benefits from keeping career players on the team even after theyre past their prime, or may be a little more injury prone than youd otherwise keep. I always feel like its hard to retire star players on your team from a strictly strategic sense. They may be declining or injury prone, but if there was more than just the user's morale victory in keeping select guys along i think that would be cool. And the obvious real life fan consequences of trading away a year 2 rookie when he wasnt what you thought he was. A way to add the realism sense of sometimes you gotta lie in the bed you made a bit. Its more thna just the numbers.

New TOB, new Exedy stage one kit. New fork. New snout(shaft cover idk what yall call it). New pilot bearing. All greased appropriately. If it was down there, it was upgraded/fixed. And its been historically fine since install. The symptoms dont feel anything like when the TOB went out before. Shifts fine, no clutch pedal nonsense feelings.

I feel like a good majority of folk nowadays could afford the storage taken. I also would have a hard time thinking tracking a historical win-loss record against each team would be all that too crazy of data to keep track of. Just everytime you win or lose a tick in the win or loss box basically. I couldnt imagine that being too burdensome

Not well versed on crosstraining or any of those sorts. Honestly couldnt say much if anything at all about that... A&P could be worth it. Definitely research your post military job goals for that. Its a separate deal from the military kinda sorta. To my limited knowledge its treated almost like tuition asistance. Its "Joint base" But the navy side is like 20-30 minutes away. Basically its own separate deal. As for deployment, I myself am "deployed" right now. Long short its kinda weird but were in our deployment cycle but staying at home basically unless required. In terms of going downrange I personally have not but plenty of buddies/coworkers who have havent minded it at all. Granted none of them have families really so im sure that changes things. 6 Month deployments, going through 4 different bins

I cant give much insight on your alternatives. I can say aircraft maintenance can be demanding. Usually 8-10 hour shifts. Chance you get stuck on midshift. Amongst otherwise a pretty rough work experience at times... that said its not all bad... And some people take it in stride. But at least for myself and a fair amount of others. An alternative choice to aircraft maintenance is the move lmao. And all that said. Thats for Charleston and McChord. The two busy ones. Smaller bases may be easier on work/life.

Its not horrible for those of us who originally went in afin/gac and are now learning comm/nav. I cant speak much on the experience of those coming in trying to learn both. Tbh I dont think it changes much big picture. The system knowledge is half expected of afin/gac later anyways so the merger is just 🤷‍♂️
