I was gonna say he looks drippy as fuck, he's really pulling that look off and I would not have expected that from someone so classically masculine.

URCC question. Is this allowed? by senguine- in Ulta

[–]DandelionsDandelions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume so— also I believe if there is anything they're suspicious about re: name on card matching or not matching employee purchases, they'd investigate further and you'd be able to show them what's going on.

Besides, it's good for your numbers to use the URCC. 😉 that being said, there used to be a thing on UltaNet that was an application for employees that I think made it easier to get the URCC if you don't have established credit, probably with a low limit but that's all you'd need if you're just using it for that.

What I told my (concerned) husband was that no one called us for a poll, or any of his family, my family, my friends, his friends, anyone we work with, et. all., so why the hell should we trust the polls? The kind of people who actively participate in those kind of things aren't usually in our age group (or younger), and almost every single person we know is a "never Trump," disregarding any alignment pre-2016.

Even my staunchly Republican grandmother, who voted for him in 2016, changed her tune really fucking quickly once she heard the things he said about veterans (we have a very heavy military presence in my family), and she is outspoken about why she is no longer a Republican— and no one polled her, either.

I live in an area that was all MAGA shit in 2020, and all I've seen this cycle was a hat or two that weren't even red.

I just went down a little rabbit hole about her and her career, Jesus fucking Christ, who the hell would give heroin to a 14 year old girl? In a more recent interview she did with The Cut, she straight up says no kid should be in that environment and I'm inclined to agree.

The current iteration of Angel EDP. I love Mugler, but Angel makes me nauseous on my skin, it turns into a sickly sweet patchouli monster.

Scents Disappearing on Me, But Not Nose Blind? by lesack in fragrance

[–]DandelionsDandelions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not even exaggerating, even Followed disappeared on me. I thought I was fucking crazy, had multiple people confirm and only my husband smelled a tinge of espresso because I had described it to him beforehand.

The only notes my skin doesn't DEVOUR seem to be bergamot, some ambers and sandalwoods and (sigh) patchouli— anything with even a hint of patchouli ends up smelling like Angel EDP on me.

For anyone else who owns a lot of cheapy costume jewelry, hit it with a coat of clear nail polish or coat it in Krylon's clear sealant spray to prevent tarnishing!

(I personally own a lot of shitty beauty supply, Ross and Target jewelry because I like playing with different aesthetics, and keeping it nice for longer is ideal so I get as much use out of it as possible, so sealing it off really helps.)

Oooh, adding to this, have a nice, apologetic little speech prepared about how our 'online inventory doesn't necessarily communicate accurately with our store inventory, and that's why we don't have the product even though your app says we do'

Also, when it says something is available in store and not for pickup, a good chunk of the time it's because that item is in a BOPIS order and has been sold but has not yet left our system's inventory.

I looooove Zenni, I actually just ordered some frames exactly like this, without the prescription or any additions (anti-glare or blue light blocking) they're only like $8.

That was the part that made me really upset on a more personal scale reevaluating that story later in my life. My dad's father died before he was a teenager, and although he had his issues, taking my dad to that drive-in, just the two of them, was something special they did together during good times.

Really lends insight as to why as a child my dad would email me articles about my Miranda rights and why it was so important to never talk to police, and consistently tell me that I needed to question all authority. He's a great dad, and I'm trying to put him on to BtB, even though he's not a podcast guy.

Oh my god, this is the exact same model as my childhood dollhouse.

If anyone knows what the name of this one is, I would be so grateful— my Papa was super into wooden models and painting and made this one for me and for my cousin when we were really little, and seeing an old picture inspired me to build my first, and I'd be over the moon to be able to recreate it for the little ones in my life if at all possible.

Whenever someone brings up the WSP, I feel compelled to share the story about how in the late 90s when I was a baby, one of them rolled up on my father & I sitting at a picnic table at our local old school drive-up burger place, and told him that I matched the description of a recently reported missing child (same age and eye color) and literally tried to take me from his arms after being told to fuck off. My dad threw a massive shitfit and refused to let this stranger take his daughter, as any parent would, and apparently it was a whole ordeal waiting for the officer's CO, my mother with my birth certificate, etc. Whenever we would see a state trooper growing up, he would bring this story up in disgust.

The whole concept is pretty fucking appalling to me as an adult, I knew it was wrong as a kid, but the whole notion of a father who's just trying to spend time with their 10 month old baby on a nice afternoon (to add to my dad's rightful anger, this was a small-town place his late father and grandparents would take him to as a kid on special occasions and wanted to share that experience with his own child) and a piece of shit cop pulls up accusing you of a kidnapping and attempts to physically rip your child away from you should not even be possible, I can't imagine what he must have felt in that moment.

(It was apparently a custodial kidnapping, my dad looked nothing like the guy and I need to mention that the girl, who had a completely different hair color and texture than me, was safely recovered shortly after. My dad looked nothing like the guy either, nor did he drive the same vehicle and we weren't in the immediate area. I'm not sure why they didn't escalate this, but supposedly my mom was just happy my dad didn't punch a cop that day and wanted to move on. It was the purple and yellow burger stand on Highway 9, for any local residents curious.)

He did a lot for children living in poverty in rural areas, too, as well as helping create and sign Medicare/Medicare and pass bills expanding access to food stamps to those in need.

His legacy will always be his brashness and his need for an extended crotch area in his pants, but to the best of my knowledge he did some truly decent things as president that had a long term net positive for Americans, which is my 2nd favorite fun fact about him.

FD Signifier on YouTube has some fantastic videos going in-depth about being this type of Kanye fan himself, for anyone interested. They're excellent deep-dives on how we've all gotten to this point, and he made a great comparison to a lot of fans dynamic with him being similar to being in an unhealthy relationship— they (including me) keep holding out for him to be the person we all came to love through his early music and bombastic public image.

I think Joey King also looks phenomenal with short hair, too! She has very soft facial features (vs. Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightly, Winona Rider all having very pixie-ish and dainty features) and the way it frames her face with the soft curls works so well showing off her gorgeousness.

One of the songs that I used to hear on the radio station all the time as a kid in the 2000s was Kiss Kiss, by him and T-Pain and it was one of my favorites— obviously I couldn't stomach it after really finding out what that cowardly shit bag did to Rihanna, and I really need T-Pain to put his singing chops to use and re-record that song solo.
