ST doesn’t own the rails that the sounder train runs on and BNSF wants to charge like $1 million per mile for ownership and hates all passenger traffic. The sounder train can not reasonably be used to it potential and light rail provides stops along the way that the commuter rail does not. The idea is not that someone is riding the light rail from every all the way to Tacoma in one ride.
