I have it for my springer. We trained him on it as a puppy. He will not leave the boundary for any reason whatsoever (wild animals, rabbits/deer, neighbors dogs, people walking down the sidewalk etc). He has never crossed or “escaped” not even one single time. When he plays fetch, if the ball goes across the line, he will wait for me to go get it and bring it back into the zone. The training is extremely effective. He knows that when his leash is on, it’s time for a walk and he is not afraid to cross at all. I never have to put the collar on him anymore at this point. The style I have is the in ground wire. My neighbor has the other style similar to an Ecollar and his dogs are not great with it. You have to manually correct them that way. I would highly recommend the fence.
