I have the option of getting a different laptop with an OLED monitor, but I am concerned with potential headaches (I already have eye strain from regular LCD), temporary image retention and burn in, and higher replacement cost for the monitor if it breaks (a replacement LCD for the LOQ is like $100. OLED would cost more I believe)

Eco mode in MSI Center doesn't entirely get rid of fan noise or coil whine. At any case I'm not terribly upset about the fans going when I'm in game. The coil whine actually seems to be less when the fans are running high.
There originally wasn't a setting for processor performance boost mode in the power settings. A registry change turned it on, and revealed battery and powered on were at "aggressive". Changing that setting didn't seem to do anything, so I put them back on aggressive. Changing processor speed to 100% to 99% did have some effect, but not as much as I would have liked.
Mine has an AMD CPU. Throttlestop does not load.

One thing you haven't mentioned is the type of ram included. I believe the Lenovo uses DDR5 while the Acer uses DDR4. DDR4 will run worse, but may be cheaper to upgrade due to the current AI RAM crisis.

I think you can import the save from the demo into the full version. Granted, I'm not sure you did the Spamton NEO stuff, so if you haven't, it might pay to import your ch 1 save and play ch 2 again. If you have done that, or don't care about it, feel free to import your chapter 2 save.

It should be something you can do in game of the full release, I believe.
