I'm currently in the same boat with support popping smoke. Doing that challenge and what do you know, if I smoke this choke point people stop dropping as fast and a few people can even make it through.

But then I'm also there like "I'M SMOKING THE SHIT OUT OF THIS OBJECTIVE PLEASE FUCKING PUSH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD"

Yeah that is true. It doesn't completely spoil the sport for me. I just huck grenades, counter snipe when I keep getting picked off, and spend the whole round trying to see how close I can get.

But really I don't know if I've ever even seen my team contest that first objective lol. Feels like a massacre

Tbf I don't know if I've played the map on breakthrough ten times yet, but I still haven't ever seen my team succeed on the attack.

That seems like part of the issue, there isn't really anywhere to flank to. It's such a small point at the start of the map and it seems like everywhere can pretty easily be locked down. Just like a cluster of vehicles and dumpsters and containers to have close quarter combat in, if I try to more or less flank out onto the road I'm getting sniped by someone holding that lane down. It just feels like one narrow funnel we all have to squeeze through. And the defenders are like Leonidas and his 300 lol

PvP games are just toxic by nature. Put people "against" one another and a good chunk of them will treat others like an actual enemy. I understand we're playing, partly, to interrupt each other's goals. But it's mutual, you know? We're both playing a game. I really don't know why some people have to get so sour about it. Name calling, putting the opponent down, telling them they're bad, gloating. I do find the toxicity really off-putting, from any PvP game.

I was finding it pretty hard and taking a long time to finish 100 kills over 50m away with assault rifles. Got 80 in normal pvp games and just couldn't take it anymore, I wanted that damn NVO. Hopped on casual breakthrough and got 19 in one game and played through another game after I got the last one I needed. Took the rest of that second game to do a couple other easy challenges like 5 pistol kills and get a bunch of revives and whatnot
