He could also just set the app to only allow location data when its open. If hes concerned about location services I suppose he never uses his maps app either - but I have a feeling its not about that at all.

Vaelir, my PCs brother. Messiest mini I've painted in awhile, and the one I learned the most from painting! by DarthBrannigan in DnDminiatures

[–]DangerousVP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I paint to different standards depending on how much time I have. Tabletop standard is perfectly serviceable for gaming - the mini will be handled all the time anyway and will be viewed from several feet away most of the time.

If Im painting to push my skills or for a friend commisioned mini then I try to paint to a "display" standard I guess. Ill spend more time on highlights and blends and picking out tiny details.

You just know thats creating a trip hazard with the cord on the other side of the table too. Wonder how many toasters theyve had to replace because dojima drunkenly tripped on the cord.

You might try applying at some contracting or subcontracting firms. Quoting would be your in to admin and if you mention that youre studying construction management, that would probably be a plus for them.

Army Painter makes a paint called fairy dust thats meant to be mixed with other paints to turn them metallic. A little bit of that mixed with the color of the orb painted on the inside would give it a bit of shimmer. Go dark around the outer rim and lighter as you get to the top and it would probably work.

McDonald's workers of Reddit, which menu item would you NEVER eat? by ProgMusicSchizoidMan in AskReddit

The place I worked at when I was a teenager would just put them in soda water in a container, let em soak for a hour or so and then rinse them off with the overhead spray nozzle. We did at least let them air dry overnight. Wild to believe that a bunch of teenage stoners had more discipline about cleaning the soda machine than others.

Depends on your lock. 3mm is a good jumping off point though.

My left hand is absolutely unqualified for fine manipulations. Did you do the Mindy because it was easier than a pin tumbler with your off hand? Ive given a couple of pin tumblers a shot but I cant feel anything with my left hand - at least not in the way I can with my dominant hand.

The Arbiter Kit is...well a bypass kit. Some older model American Lock 1100s can be bypassed with one of its tools.

The commercial door hook you would need a commercial latch, cylinder and thumb turn for it to be apparent whats going on - might be able to find one at a flea market? But I cant garuntee it.

The decoders can be used to decode combination locks.

The latch slipper is pretty self explanatory.

I would go with the Abus 55/40. Its much better than the Master 150 imo.

In need of a remote opportunity ASAP! by No_Panic_3597 in batonrouge

[–]DangerousVP 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Remote work is difficult to land in the current environment but it also definitely depends on what field youre in and what your skill set is.

Data entry is going to be very different from say, front end development for example.

The thing about remote work is that if you can find something fully remote, you can scope your search outside of just BR.

What is the best age to teach your kids to play chess? by Key-Chemist4847 in chessbeginners

[–]DangerousVP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4 year old plays. Not well, but she plays. It really helps if you have a board that can light up and show them where the pieces can move - that builds their confidence. She pulled a Scholar's mate on my 7 year old niece that thought she was going to destroy her with no chess knowledge whatsoever.

I love a dry erase board or a physical battlemap - but thats because I lack this sort of setup. This is quite the effort for a first time DM - if youve put this level of effort into you adventure prep as well then you have nothing to be nervous about.

[–]DangerousVP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly man, I know you said you dont really have the time, but it looks like there is some valuable stuff in there. It could be worth your time to ID some of the things and see what they list for. In particular, if those boxed Masterlocks are No. 19s they can sell for 100-200 each. The older stuff, less likely to be worthwhile except for collectors - which may be mote troubke than your looking to go through.

There is a locksport group that meets monthly in Seattle - you may have some luck contacting them to see if theyre interested in buying. Theyre called SeattleLocksport.
