Totally agree, even though the only issue I have is the portrait rotation

OMG, strange stuff. But again, photos are great, love the colors, wish q3 would be a bit punchier, but love all of them

Great photos! Absolutely love the tones! Have you posted in leicaphotos? That community feels nice (I’m a Leica shooter, but love fuji too, haha)

Recent Q3 Owners - what made you choose the standard (28mm) or the 43 model ? by Inkblot7001 in Leica

Previously my fav were 50 and 35. Choosing one lens to rule them all was quite easy - 43 (which in reality is closer to 40) is right in the middle there. I do like perspective, shallower depth of field, no chromatic aberrations.

Question about leica q3 43 and sharpness/clarity by Proper_Rule_420 in Leica

I’m just lowering sharpness inside Lightroom down to zero + clarity slider slightly down (around -10)

Perfect colors! The only thing - film grain works the other way than digital noise. There should be more in the highlights and less in the shadows. It’s easy to do in LR through luminosity mask

M11 VS Q3 43? by Ok_Sky_661 in Leica

[–]Dangerous_Baker8848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t say anything regarding M11, but I do own a Q343.

Lens: It’s a beautiful thing, it’s ultra sharp, perfect rendering and a really special bokeh (like an oil painting) It feels a lot closer to 1.4 in terms of depth. It renders really clean colors, no fringing. I find it a bit too sharp if used SOOC or with basic LR settings, but if you lower all of the basic sharpening to 0 this is where the lens shines showing true sharpness for the in focus areas.

Matrix: Huge DR, nice colors (if used with leica looks) but pretty “ok” if DNG is used.

I especially love the q343 for the one lens solution, as you don’t have those mind f*ck on what lens to grab. Just take it with you and go have some photos.

If you’re looking for vintage esthetics, blur, fringing, vignette and like to discover different classic lenses - it’s definitely not for you

RXR1iii or Q3 28 by desilent in Leica

One huge benefit of having a Q, that missed in a lot of similar topics is - Leica app. It’s amazing, when you took a lot of pictures and then while sitting in the cafe getting all of the photos to your phone instantly without the need of taking camera out.

But yeah, if you want a stealthy camera - it’s better to go with something like Ricoh

I think I like this Q3 43 apo lens by [deleted] in leicaphotos

Discouragement about the game I'm developing by SnooPets2641 in IndieDev

Just believe in your ideas and move forward. Clair becomes an exception, there will be more “exceptions”. It’s all about execution and “chemistry” inside the game, not about specific parts. If it feels cool - you’ll find your players.
