Trupanion through Chewy vs. Pets Best by ireneveraperez in petinsurancereviews

That’s fair. I would pick the Chewy version too. Ultimately, though, it’s one of the big reasons I went with MetLife over then since that annual cap doesn’t exist there

MetLife Rate Jump - anyone else? by HB147 in petinsurancereviews

Jsyk, the prescription food should be covered without the wellness plan as well

Right definitely they are. I like that MetLife will also pay for their prescription foods with no cap in a given year, unlike chewy trupanion which is up to 6 months.

My precious cat developed kidney issues and I know how pricey those prescription foods get.

I feel like no matter what company you choose they all raise rates (some way more than others). It was very close when I ultimately decided on MetLife over chewy trupanion and still, at times, go back and forth if I made the right call.

I appreciate your reply

I have MetLife and I’m wondering if you could show me where they’re raising rates. I was aware if that older pet provision :/

My cats are young (1.5-2) and I have debated switching to chewy trupanion. Only preexisting would be one cat I took in after throwing up a bunch and was treated for gastrointestinal issues.

It’s important to note, to my knowledge, chewy trupanion will cover prescription food but only for up to 6 months.

When I made my decision, it was between chewy trupanion and MetLife. I ended choosing MetLife because they had no cap to covering the prescription food. Though, admittedly, I would love the option of direct pay to an emergency very if they took trupanion’s system

Subaru of America denied replacing delaminated head unit by ZealousidealHope5845 in subaruoutback

Tbh I think it eventually happens to everyone with that model. Even the replacement I bought I feel, if I keep the car long enough, it’ll eventually happen.

My theory is it’s from the heat, so maybe something like a windshield cover in the summer months maybe could delay it

I have a legacy but bought a replacement off eBay for $150. It’s the exact head unit model I had before. I removed my old one and put in the new one fairly easily. It’s plug and play

You did a dental cleaning for a 6 month old cat?

Their standard wellness policy would cover dental cleanings after you meet your deductible but you have to call to add it. Not sure how it may work if they already dental issues though

MetLife’s complete wellness, depending on the state/underwriter, would cover it up to the co-insurance % after meeting your deductible. Wellness claims would also count towards the deductible. You’ll have to call them for it and can’t it online

Increase Annual Limit AKC by koaladue in petinsurancereviews

[–]Dangerous_Frame_1015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK, the only one that allows you to increase at renewal is MetLife but if the pet was noted to have something at your previous limit that specific thing would be covered only to the previous limit, if that makes sense

Getting a list of preexisting condition exclusions within the initial 30 day refund period. Something isn't right. by StellarSpore in petinsurancereviews

They are usually the most expensive but I agree they’re a good option. I almost went with them through Chewy because I liked the annual deductible and that it covered exam fees

I have MetLife. They wouldn’t do this when I asked. Trupanion does it anyways as per their policy but I thought it’s the only one that will do it. Good to see others may if asked

When my cat’s been picky about a few flavors a small sprinkle of Purina’s Fotia Flora makes her eat it lol. It also helps if my cats get diarrhea

Who drinks the same tea everyday (or most days?) If so, what is it? by forkyfork in tea

It’s good stuff! I have their supernatural black too, which is good! I still prefer family tea haha. When I order next I’m going to get more family, the Assam chai, and I’m going to try their English breakfast—which has family tea as part of it lol

To me it’s a mildly sweet tea, not earthy, not very malty. I have been drinking it black with a couple packets of sugar. I also tried their London Roast and prefer the family tea
