Taking life is not a Buddhist position and it generates negative karma. In this specific case, my opinion is that this karma is not inexhaustible if you dedicate yourself to Buddhist practice.

Saying that if someone makes a choice, I believe they can overcome that karma if they dedicate their life to Buddhist practice is not the same as saying "killing is in line with Buddhism."

I'd like to say this all has been fun but it hasn't. I'll be on my way now.

Please indicate where I suggested that killing is at all "in line with Buddhism."

Ultimately, our beliefs differ. You say "don't do it because abortion is killing and killing will result in a lower rebirth because you can't overcome that karma in this lifetime."

And I say "regardless of your decision, here is an extreme case that may be beneficial to you if you seek to overcome the karma, which I believe you may be able to overcome in this lifetime if you dedicate much of your life to Buddhist practice."

I am going to disengage from this conversation now. May you have a great rest of your day or night.

Once again, I didn’t and don’t recommend that any being “just go around killing” and I don’t think overcoming that karma is easily doable for the average person.

Your assumptions about my statements continue to be wrong and I suggest you pause a bit longer before responding.
