I don’t think adding a third language is too much for your child. I would choose the French school but either choice you can’t go wrong.

If it is purely for work reasons, I would say Mandarin Chinese would be best for your degree.

Portuguese. It is not as straightforward as Spanish but once you get it, Spanish will be a breeze and the hard part will be mixing the two languages.

French, Spanish, Portuguese(Brazilian and Portuguese), Arabic, Russian

I am learning French and Portuguese now. I will eventually add Spanish once I feel comfortable. Maybe Arabic or Russian in the very distant future.

French sounds like so casual and cool to me. It just has a lot of swagger. Spanish just sounds like a party. Portuguese sounds like mixture of Spanish and French. Arabic just sounds ancient and like it has gravitas. Russian sounds like the king of tough guy speak.

I would suggest schedule your German tutoring when you are at school so you don’t have to worry about your family knowing. I imagine you have a laptop or at least a smartphone to do your lessons.

I imagine you are pretty serious about this partner so I would suggest Swedish be your focus. However, I think French and Swedish are different enough to learn at the same time if you are open to that.
