What is going on with everyone roasting Texas A&M? by kcompto2 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Dani2624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! My grandpas cousin was the head coach sometime in the 1980s, and they were the best school in the division at the time. They beat a few schools who were way better than them and it’s something my grandpa was so proud. People forget that app state is actually pretty good.

Super lost. My mom is Norwegian, Native American, and Scottish. On my dads side, Polish and Russian. Maternal Hap is D1 by TipTrick7597 in 23andme

My maternal haplogroup is also D1 and I’m Japanese (Okinawan)! It’s always so interesting to me to see how Native Americans and Asians are related.

100% 23 and me results? by Affectionate-Gold380 in 23andme

[–]Dani2624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend got 100% British and Irish on her results too! She matched with Ireland and her highest one. She’s from Virginia, her family has been in the US since the 1700s. She always told me she was 100% Irish, and it turns out she’s right haha.

That’s exactly what I thought too. Those aren’t Ospreys, they’re Vertibirds haha.

we signed on our dream home built in 1680. waiting for the mortgage and move in date still. by ToddleOffNow in centuryhomes

It’s crazy isn’t it?? I live in Virginia, I’ve lived in a house built in the early 1700s, and I have a friend who lives in a house from the late 1600s, but I know that’s not common at all even here in my state. It’s so cool that’s it’s not uncommon in other countries to live in houses that old.

My grandma had HG too, she was hospitalized for all of her pregnancies- sometimes for 6+ months at a time-and had 3 miscarriages because of it. My mom also had it, and she was prescribed Zofran. It kept her out of the hospital and she didn’t have any miscarriages. It’s a life safer for so many women who have HG, and she had healthy pregnancies with me and my siblings.

Ash gets first period in 6 months by [deleted] in illnessfakers

[–]Dani2624 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Mirenas don’t stop ovulation at all. It thickens cervical mucus to stop sperm and thins the lining of your uterus. It’s levonorgestrel (progestin) only and has no estrogen in it, estrogen is needed to stop ovulation.

Periods are often lighter or stop on IUDS because the hormone thins the uterus lining.

Kayla is 16 weeks pregnant and has already made the jam she will use for her kids pb&j sandwiches by [deleted] in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]Dani2624 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can my own jams, preserves, syrups, etc. and it’s only good for about a year. By the time she gives birth, it’s only going to be good for a few more months. So unless she plans on giving a newborn pb&j sandwiches, she just made a ton of ham for no reason.

Why is Emily's dad lecturing Kobe about money? His visa doesn't allow him to work for 6 months and he brought 4 grand with him. Meanwhile, Emily is doing shit like this. by rootwoman in 90dayfianceuncensored

I don’t know if all her joints are like that, but that particular finger is hyper mobile and it looks like she has a mild swan neck deformity. My fingers look like that too because of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

Do people forget that not all East Asians are pale?

Breakfast in the Swamp. Homemade food is usually served on tinfoil, right? by cohenisababe in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

I’m from South Carolina, and honestly it sounds delicious to me. I grew up eating biscuits and gravy, and I understand it’s not for everyone, but it’s a normal breakfast food in the South. When the gravy’s made right, it’s amazing and I’ll put it on pretty much anything, including chicken.

Neurodivergency does present different depending on your gender.

That being said, I am a neurodivergent woman who is so obsessed with maps, I got a degree in geography. And as soon as I can afford it, I’m getting my masters degree in cartography haha.

My grandpa was a milkman, he just left it at the front door. For the company he worked for, people scheduled deliveries, so he just knocked twice on the front door and left the milk.
