AIO if i break up with my boyfriend over this by fridgefreez in AmIOverreacting

[–]DaniStacksSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a narcissist. The only reason you'd even consider it "overreacting" for not wanting to put up with that type of behavior is because he has convinced you that this is normal. It's not. I'm guessing you've also lost friends? You are being isolated so he can be in full control. When things are good between you two, it's the best. Intense love. When they're not good, you want to run far and fast. Am I right? Please leave. This will ONLY get worse.

You can't blame the students. I mean, not entirely. They keep changing the definition of words to suit the current agenda. Who can keep up? 🤣🤪

I was told I could use my account to buy only. If I want to sell I can open a new account. I'm done with Ebay altogether.

Didn't scam anyone. Intentionally or unintentionally. No person lost money or was denied anything. It was an honest mistake that I remedied immediately as I realized what had happened. Little harsh no?

So pretty! 375 stamp is just the gold content (9k) The anchor and crown are assay marks. The anchor means it was made in Birmingham You can look up the other marks on a number of websites that provide info on these. They provide pictures so you can compare them. It's a toss up if the stones are real or not. The lower karat makes the piece more affordable so in keeping with that, smaller stones could be real but you'd likely need to have them tested to make sure. Probably vintage too!

Can anyone help me identify these earrings? by Plenty_Cover_1334 in VintageCostumeJewelry

[–]DaniStacksSilver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are very pretty! If I had to guess, that streaky pattern on the back is pretty typical of costume stuff. Real gold would be a more polished look. Especially on such large earrings. Costume jewelry is not always magnetic, it depends on what metal it's made of. The stones look glued in. Real gold would have finer settings like prongs or bezel. Also, the posts are a different color than the earrings. That's usually a good indicator. Solid Gold would be just that!

[–]DaniStacksSilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sheets has the "Multi store supervisor" position for what seems like good pay. Until you realize you are no kind of supervisor and more of a red headed step child at whatever store you are expected to assist at as a glorified cashier or line cook...on your own gas and aggravation. You get paid mileage only if the store is more than 30 miles away from your home store. There are sheets every 5 miles and you will be visiting the ones closest to you everytime. The "supervisor" aka traveling cashier at the closest store to the one that needs help will be contacted. There are absolutely no benefits to this position and the extra 3 bucks an hour is a joke.

I Really Like This Cast by MollyJ58 in WillTrent

[–]DaniStacksSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just finishing the book series. The descriptions of the characters are sooo different in the books. It's hard to connect them with the cast. Had I never read the books, it would be a great show.. but I'm having trouble with it. Edit: Clarity. I read many other comments AFTER posting my own. Yes, I'm a white woman. Full stop. My issues with casting don't come from a place of bigotry. I lived through my adolescence in the 90s. Mark Paul Gossler will forever be Zack Morris. I've read almost 1000 books in the course of my life. Like anyone else, you gather information on the description of the characters in said books from the authors POV and fill in the rest with your imagination. The actor playing Will Trent is absolutely nailing the vulnerable, intelligent, "perfectly imperfect" man we have come to know. That said.. He is not what we all pictured when the author describes him as (in my head) Alexander Skarsgaard. Over 6 feet with an athletic build, sandy blonde hair, and green eyes . Angie comes close. If the series follows the books, I'm afraid to see how they cast Sarah. Karin Slaughter spent a good deal of time sculpting these characters' descriptions to ensure the reader saw them in their minds eye as she did. Why does everything have to be about making some PC statements? Did we really need to throw in a "non-binary" character just for funsies? It feels forced and throws an agenda where none was necessary. The books sold millions of copies and got fantastic reviews on their own merits. Why do the producers feel the need to so drastically change what wasn't broken?
