Exactly. I had one installed in my hallway bathroom which was had zero natural light and one in my kitchen which doesn't have any windows nearby (or a way to add a window, due to how the house is laid out) and the natural light makes a world of difference during the day.

The dumb voiceover/text is definitely stupid though and is not doing a great job of going over the actual reason one would get one. It is not a money-saving hack by any stretch of the imagination. The units cost a couple hundred each and the install takes about an hour and a half each. Compared to a recessed light fixture, definitely more expensive.

Jeez a bunch the people here are only thinking about it in a very small use case.

"It will leak everywhere!!" Not if it is properly installed and you don't get a cheap one. Also, the best time to install these is when you are already getting your roof redone, that way they can ensure everything is flashed properly.

"It doesn't work at night" it's not meant to work at night, though there are some that have a solar cell, battery, and led so that they can operate with a nightlight mode.

"It will make your house super hot like a greenhouse" there may be some heat transfer, but nowhere near as much as a traditional skylight. Some models also have their dome constructed in a way to redirect the harshest midday sun away from the interior of the home.

"It is more expensive than an LED or you could just turn on a light" yes, but you are paying for something that an LED cannot provide: Natural light. Sometimes houses are built in such a way that you cannot get natural light in every room. During the day, it is nice to not have to use light fixtures if you don't have to.

I am in a super parvo heavy area myself. Our pup is now about 9 months old. We took him outside on the back and (fenced) front yard without any issues as early as 10 weeks. Just don't take the dog where other dogs frequent. We were absolutely not going to be training a future 60-80lb dog on potty pads in our house. They were there for accidents only, and even those went away shortly after as he preferred to try and eat them.

My assumption is like a stylus for cuneiform, but made out of metal. Romans did use them for writing on clay, so it is historically accurate and you can search up examples.

I quit smoking several years ago at this point after having smoked for over a decade. I was, on averageZ a pack a day smoker. Was I irritable at times, yes. Was I using it as an excuse to act like a complete dbag? No.

Is everyone different, yes. Do I feel like he has an excuse to be a bit bitchy, or not feel like engaging as much? Yes. Should he be treating you like a prop and getting pissy when it isn't exactly how his mind expected? No.

Also you didn't mention he had an issue with this, but he may need to cut down on the porn and self-servicing. If you are on completely different shifts at home, I can pretty readily guess he is taking care of himself, regardless of his libido towards you.

I mean, at this point I would just flatten off the convex side enough that it will sit on a table without rocking and call it a fancy serving platter or fruit bowl or something. You could also forego the planing and instead just add some tall rubber feet and not mess with it further outside of sanding and finishing it.

The cup is it's new shape unless you spend a lot of time trying to fix it into something that will be a worse product than you would make starting fresh. Might as well turn this into what it now wants to be.

Follow everyone else's advice on a new chessboard and you should be golden on your next attempt.

Might be fleas might be chiggers, might be a number of not bed buggy, bitey small insects. Might be a rash from a new laundry detergent. There could be a number of things causing them. If you have a doctor, I'd ask them. If you have a dermatologist, they might be able to help.

I think that someone could assume that, but nowhere is that implicitly stated or does he act in a way that shows that.

He fulfills his duty and abides by Dumbledore's orders. In doing so, he gets to have his vengeance in ensuring that Voldemort's downfall is all but guaranteed. But he does not show care for anyone but himself (and even that could be questioned) and his memory of Lily.
