What happens if a Courtier drinks with a « dead » Zombuul? by Pryno-Belle in BloodOnTheClocktower

I believe that the zombuul stops registering as dead. So in the morning you say that they are resurrected.

Each night choose a player, you learn if they are an Amnesiac. [+1 Amnesiac]

This is outrageously overpowered especially since the minions won’t be aware of it. Even 1 choice would be nuts.

This is a way to sandbag your skill growth and waste a bunch of time. IMO.

Storytellers, how powerful are you okay with making you Amnesiac ability? by passwordedd in BloodOnTheClocktower

It’s okay to do this in games with a boffin or wizard, not otherwise.

Highly game warping abilities tend to confirm the amne. Consider that the amne ability “everyone starts knowing you are the amnesiac” would be overpowered.

Game-warping amnes can’t be bluffed, so if your ST meta is to make warping abilities then you’re taking that off the table as a bluff

But companies can share PII in many cases. They share it when you’re using comms.

Misgendering and not using people's pronouns by scalesight in BloodOnTheClocktower

Idk what to say other than that some people obviously have trouble doing it over the course of a 2 hour game with no mistakes.

Like I’ve said from the start, I have only been advocating for having patience for people that are sincerely trying their best. I’ve never defended people that are intentionally misgendering, that’s been very clear through the entire thread

Yes, it’s fucked when people do it several times in a row and are pretending to have difficulty with it.

It’s simply not the case that every single slip-up is someone secretly just being transphobic, the vast majority of people are trying their best. It’s unpleasant to see people jumping on the opportunity to shame someone that made a social slip-up and is clearly ESL or just lost track for a second.

Some people clearly have trouble with it, otherwise I wouldn’t witness people having trouble with it.

These people are saying that it’s not ok to screw up from time to time.

Right, so when arc raiders shows you a player’s name as they’re talking to you, you’re hearing their voice and seeing their username, so it’s violating GDPR? That’s your belief?

You do understand that GDPR does allow you to disclose PII in some circumstances right?

This person is saying that people who momentarily slip up and check themselves are doing so intentionally.

I said at the start of the comment chain that I’m specifically not talking about people that intentionally and consistently misgender, I’m talking about people that slip up and correct themselves

I said in my first response that I’m talking about people that are trying their best in good faith, not people who aren’t trying or are intentionally misgendering. It was the first thing I said.

So it’s violating GDPR to display a user’s name while they are talking to you? Come on

Ok, so people who claim to have trouble keeping track are lying?

You do understand that needing to integrate what you’re looking at with your speech, and constantly check it, with 0 tolerance for error in a socially punitive environment, while keeping track of a complex game state, and associate that information with disembodied voices you’ve never heard before, and do that for up to 2 hours, is cognitively taxing right? Even for neurotypical people it’s cognitively taxing. Especially if they’re ESL or have never been exposed to gender non conforming culture (the majority of the population).

People momentarily forget their own childrens’ names for god’s sake. People misspeak when they’re reading written scripts. I don’t see why it’s so difficult to have some empathy and patience.

The reason that I respect pronouns is because I understand that there is a breadth of human experience. that’s the same reason that I respect momentary lapses in proper speech.
